Don't think I've ever heard of anyone having problems using totes like that.Sorry not storing but using those as buckets in my RDWC.
Ever had your stuff tested in a lab?Don't think I've ever heard of anyone having problems using totes like that.
If its made in some 3rd world country.. maybe.. but those are a common Walmart/Amazon tote.
I use a tot to hold my water and nutes. No issues.
Can you find out what chemical were made to build those totsEver had your stuff tested in a lab?
Used to growing in these as personal and everything turns out great. But now im worried if there is something being leeched that now wont pass testing, since they are not labeled 'food safe'

Can you find a label on it like this
Do you know if BPA will have a negative effect on testing? The most likely toxin is gonna be BPA and that has been shown to actually benefit plant growth in low doses even though its harmful to humans
i think you need to find "food grade" buckets to make sure you are coveredWill my nutrient solution cause these buckets to leech phytotoxins is a better way to ask the question i suppose
how long do you plan on keeping your res water in the container? for a week? for months? for years?Do you know if BPA will have a negative effect on testing?
RDWC so nutrient would continuously sit in therehow long do you plan on keeping your res water in the container? for a week? for months? for years?
I'm not too familiar with testing protocols but I dont think BPA is something that is commonly tested for. I know many hash makers use those orange home depot buckets and I've always been against using those for that purpose.Do you know if BPA will have a negative effect on testing?
yeah, i'm not sure how much/ if they would leach any chemicals. that might be something to ask the manufacturer of those bucketsRDWC so nutrient would continuously sit in there
They would be emptied and cleaned at the end of every cycle.
