Phresh filter vs Active Air filters "Need Info on this please"

Hi Peeps, I have been using active air filters for a long time cause there the only filter I can buy locally here on the dark side of the moon, where I live.
I have tried a Can-Air filter and it worked alot better but the shipping was like 270 dollars plus the filter cost :(.
I've seen more than a few times Active Air filters the carbon dose not go all the way to the top of the filter and I have to take the top off and spray foam in there so the filters carbon seals to the top, piss poor quality control.
With the Phresh filters not as heavy I can deal with the shipping price, I'm just wanting to know if there any better than Active Air or are they a good filter ?
any good info gets +rep thanks

Phresh filters are great filters. Not sure about Active Air's carbon but Phresh uses the best kind of carbon out there. Phresh filters a very high quality to so you wont have to rip it apart to fix it. A 50lbs Can filter couldnt do what a 8x24 phresh at 20lbs could. What size room you trying to scrub?

Cool Thats what I wanted to know. Room size you asked about, I have a 12 x 4 home made grow box using 3 600 watt lights growing 12 critical Kusk plants in late flowering atm with a few clones in another box with no outside venting atm using 4 85 pound Active Air filters and 2 400 cfm blowers with two filters inside the grow box and two outside and no smell at all right now. for harvest I have a 8" big blue ozone gen I put inline and vent under my house, the monster ozone duct gens are fucking awesome for smell if your venting outside, and only then to much ozone is bad for you inside.

In six years I have used (2) Phresh filters and I am now just going to order another one. I have vey low humidity (< 30%) so that is why I was able to go so long with just one. I am not going to decommission the old one yet either as I set up a filter system for my living room area and will use it until I replace the next one. I have never breathed easier in my house since doing that. To me, it makes the filters, regardless of brand, more value for dollar by getting 5 to 6 years of use per filter. Also, if you grow in soil or garden, you can use the carbon to amend the soil. I am sure 'Can' filters for all intents and purposes, are the same in performance but I get Phresh filters for cheaper in my area.

Cheers,

I bought my first Phresh filler about 4 years ago used it for a year and been put away since.
6x18 I believe 400 cfm used it with the Active Air 400 cfm fan.
I still have it but plan on using as an intake for a bigger room one day.
Upgraded to the 6x24 550cfm recently since I started back up. Same old fan.
Wanted to upgrade mainly because the cfm were too close wanted to make sure the smell is gone.
Got it running now but not flowering yet another couple weeks.
Come to think about it I should be running the old one since I don't need the smell out. Meh...

Nice FR33MASON I run about 20 to 50 % humidity myself Alaska is dry in the winter, but still I'm changing out the shitty active air filters every 2nd crop, think I got about a year out of the can-air filter can't wait for my new filters I'm getting the phresh 2, 8x24 750cfm and 2, 6x24 550 cfm filters

Do you have carbon filter on each end of your exhaust? pulling through one in box and pushing through other on end outside of box? i do this works great, 8x24 at the beginning and 6x24 at the end with a 8'' 750cfm fan.

Yes thats what I'm doing atm as the critical kusk was kicking my filters ass filtering only once ..
Hope the new filters will work better :)

Update I got a 8x24 and a 6x24 phresh and I can say with honesty I'm very disappointed with the performance of these filters so far the generic active air filter totally kicks butt on these light weight Australian filters by a longshot just ordered a 8 x 39 Canlite filter i'm really hoping it does better.. One other thing I noticed with the phresh filter is the incredible amount of carbon dust all over my house I put it on the porch and let it run for a half an hour outside before I hooked it up as I read the phresh filers blow a lot of dust, still my new furnace filter is black now from the carbon dust. Starting to think my old lady is right size does matter and these lightweight filters are shit.
