Phototron

I had one but I sold it. I grew well in it and had it rigged up real nice. They are great for small living situations and one plant in it can get u some good Bud. It’s great to start seedlings in because it’s hot and humid wirh the doors down making for a trippy spaced out start up place. I had a trellis hanging half way down and would place party cups with seeds in it. I could start like 8
Party cups in it.

Aside from the wild claims of unprecedented results from the manufacturer, the biggest issue with phototrons was always the cost. There are an infinite number of ways to grow weed, but from a cost vs yield perspective, those were an expensive gadget. I used to contemplate buying one when leafing thru HT magazine but could never get past the high cost for a system that could grow one plant.

My first real closet grows were with a 400W HPS magnetic ballast and cheap white aluminum reflector, growing in 2 liter pop bottles of 50/50 perlite/vermiculite mix.
Total cost was about 1/3 the price of a phototron at the the time. The yield and bud density blew away what a friend’s brother got out of a phototron. His bud was ok but the quality and amount were not even close between those setups. His was portable though, which was a benefit back in apartment renting days and before tents were a thing.

I really didn't care about the cost..I worked at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Chicago Board Trade trading floor and an oz. of pot back then was $500 an oz. and it came in a sealed container..I haven't bought weed in over 25+ years and I retired at a nice age of 45 and I'm now pushing 60 years old.

Here's a picture of my Matanuska Thunder Fuck cross that I created..user2094_pic572540_1294249826.jpg

From the Clinic?
Yes sir! I am actually based in Colorado Springs but I go to The Clinic in Denver to get seeds and then I have a half a dozen seeds and the price is right and no waiting for the shipping plus all strains that are available at The Clinic are made by The Bank Genetics in Colorado and the other cool thing is there genetically modified to grow in higher altitude this is the only strain I've gotten so far but I plan on getting a new strain after I am almost finished with my current grow
