Philips IP65 400w Stranded plz spare a moment

I was able to get theese really cheep so i tried one, but i´m such an idiot i cant figure out what kind of bulb is orig. in the lamp, i tought i read online that this type could take MH bulbs but i dont think the orig. bulb wich is in the lamp doesent look like it. Not even sure if it is a HID bulb, not going to waste 400watts if this is junk. Please if you know something about this type of lamps i appriciate any comments

i´ve been browsing alot online trying to figure this out but ii´m just not getting it:cuss: not my first thing to spam the forum i really could use a pointer ;)

IP65 but that has not helped me alot while i´ve been browsing trying to figure what kinda light this is.... i´m starting to think this could be something 4outdoors or something totally diffferent then growing ? but still it is a 400w so i´m not sure, thanks for the time

i paid lesss than 200 usd and the light was new in the box , thanks 4 taking the time for this (+rep) do you think i should buy more of theese while i can. ??

Your model number is right on the box. Ive seen a previous grow of here where someone used one of these as sidelighting. How much did you pick it up for?

It requires a 400w Son-T HPS bulb, but it might be able to use other HPS bulbs. Im not sure though.

You can find much better deals out there for 400w systems, so I wouldn't buy one. Your unable to use a cool-tube or air-cooled hood with that light, so heat could be a problem. If at all possible, return it and buy a system on ebay or some online hydro shop.

Check out ebay and google 400w HPS system and you'll find plenty of decent deals. Its where I bought mine from.
