Hi,

Im growing in soil and i've been ph'ing my water a day befor feed, then add my nutes. I use tap water which has a ph level of 8.4. I leave it to stand for 3 days then ph down to 6.4 then the next day I add nutes and feed. Is this ok? It's my first grow and im still learning.

Peace

Lots of nutes will really acidifying the water. I'd mix up your nutes with water, test and adjust to the proper range before watering with the solution

Im using organic nutes and they say not to ph. Thats why I do it a night befor so I dont fuck up my nutes. Is this still wrong? Im going to buy some organic ph up/down for my next grow as this shouldnt harm my nutes.

NO!, if your gunna PH, then do it AFTER you add the nutes, doing it before will not give you a correct reading, as adding the nutrients alters the PH, so always check after m8.

in saying that, I'm not sure on what happens with organic nutes, so dont quote me on the above lol :/

If it says on the bottle not to PH, then dont, you'll be fine, most growers dont bother, unless there doing hydro.

My tap water is 250-280 ppm and pH of around 8. Works fine straight out of the tap, no need to let it sit unless your tap is supplied by a Municipality/Water Company. If so sitting open overnight is all you need too do to be on the safe side. pH solutions are for fish tanks and reservoirs, not soil based mediums. The sodium in many pH up solutions can cause all sorts of nutrient uptake issues. As it can build up in the medium causing possible caos. Dolomite lime at about 2 tablesppons per gallon of medium and worm castings in your medium mix is about all it takes to keep pH in range...
