Hey guys I recently started a bubbleponics grow and wanted to know if the same ph up/down that is used in a chlorinated pool can be used in my reservoir?

I noticed, I keep having to add more everyday, that and you gotta use alot to even drop the ph one point. The tap water around here has a ph av about 8.5 so a 20 gallon res takes alot.

I have an RO filter but it only comes out of the fridge, and have you ever held a 20 gallon res up to a fridge for 20 minutes? that and going back and forth from the fridge with a gallon milk jug is just crazy. These are also just some schwag seeds so I'm only experimenting.

The water coming out of the fridge is carbon filterd to take out the chorine and bad taste.Thats not ro water.RO water is from a 3 stage filter system that removes all the heavy metals and minerals and leaves you with PURE WATER.If you get a 3 stage filter system will suppy you with 180gals aday.A small investment for pure water.PEACE

Better off using rain water or distilled. Also, that pool stuff is fine but don't expect any PH up or down to keep it stable for long. The fluctuation in Ph is mostly the result of your plants absorbing water and nutes, so that the chemical composition of your water is constantly changing. Check Ph every day.

You can normally get by using City Tap Water, that was clorinated, in Hydroponic Growing. If you read up on WATER in GROWFAQ, you will see many others agree. The Clorine disapates fast. BUT that PH level is way too high !
Yes, you can use thePH UP - DOWN liquid drops that Walmart has in the Aquarium Section. The Vinegar or Baking Soda is OK too, if used in moderation. There is a danger of adjusting the PH too rapidly or too frequently up or down, in Hydro Growing. Be very SLOW and Cautious! Adjust in very small increments.
Are you using the STEALTHHYDRO bubbleponics kit?

No, actually it's home built, just a 20 gal container with airstones, my plants are growing, but stretching as I have them on only 6 hours of direct sunlight since I don't have enough lights yet. I would guess that this is a basic bubbleponics setup right?
