One of the reasons i say its not useful is because you can get a better reading from the soil itself. (slurry method if you must)pH runoff is useful for soil when u have a deficiency but only then.
Don’t measure unless you have issues as it will normal cause issues monitoring it for no reason.
I saved a plant this summer by testing run off pH and took 3waterings for the ph to stabilise.
There are several other reasons to not mess with runoff. Another reason is that nutes/salts/other junk alters your reading. (if you have a buildup)
Another thing is that the way ph meters get their readings....... that needs gone over on this website. Same with tds meters. Organic guys cannot get real readings with just these meters and that info needs put out more often. Chemicals are the only true way to get a reading in organic soil aka the lab.
