Im using FFOF with extra perlite and some reg potting soil
My ph in my soil was 7 when I tested it . My water was .
When I wetted the soil down so I could put my sprouted seeds in there pots I tested the soil after watering and the ph is now 5 . What can I do to raise it or is 5 ok?

by default fox farms products are usually on the acidic time, it helps keep shelf life of the nutrients. even in soil before adding any ferts or even plain water always ph the water and make sure its between 6 and 7 for soil. it is the cornerstone for growing knowing what the ph of your water is. also, dont ph the water then add nutrients. Always add nutes to water first, shake well then Ph the water.

ffof is very low ph. i add 1.5c powdered dolomite and 1c pellet dolomite to a 1.5cf bag

I did ph the water it was 6.8 and I didn't add any newts as I figured Ff had enough organic newts in it for the first watering.
Heck I don't know this is my first time growing.

you dont need to add any fertilizer to FFOF for at least a few weeks. Did the perlite you used come with "added nutrients?"

If the soil was at 7 pH and you watered it with 6.8 pH water, how could it have gone down to 5?

I would not be pHing tap water. Soil doesn't go through rapid fluctuations in pH like a hydroponic system might. The plants would be fine with that soil and tap water.
