PH problems in my soil. Need help asap.

Easy with the fertilizer, now you've given too much / too little it's likely a good idea to wait a few days before taking further action.

Easy with the watering, because you've been over thinking the situation, you likely aren't watering properly either. Likely causing a situation where over watering frequently happens.

If it were I in your shoes, i'd give the top of each pot some lime next time you water. Regular garden lime or dolomite and only a little at a time.

Best right now I think to sit on it for a couple days and decide on a course of action.

Good luck finding the problem. :leaf:

I'm a soil grower and always have been for decades.

What I have learnt is that if you start chasing PH numbers in soil to get it right you will fuck it up.

I may have been lucky to have good water but I don't think I have. It is what it is and the soil sorts the rest out.

Outcome of never checking has always been consistent and pleasing so I don't chase numbers at all.

I never said you were wrong i asked you a question. I asked how that works in comparison. If a ph that high will kill fish, how does it work. Is there a different measurment a difference in the way its done??? It was a simple question. I never said you were wrong.

You shouldn’t have to check your soil ph if you have good soil
The microbes in the soil take care of the buffering. As long as you don’t over or under water the soil should be ok. Mycorrhizae are very magical!
Can you please provide citations that show that microbes act as a pH buffer? That's the absolute first time I've ever heard that. My understanding of microbes is a lot different than yours.

Is anyone here a marine biologist?

The sea was angry that day my friends. Like an old man trying to send back soup at a deli.

Thank you very much. Out of 100 posts and 2 hours someone finally gave me a possible course of action, instead of telling me i have bad water or ph doesnt matter or "what nutes do you use?.
Sound like a decent place to start.
Thanks

Dude has a lot to learn.

If you have mycorrhizae in your soil you don’t need to ph it I make my soil from scratch. I might have said it wrong that it buffers the soil, that’s what the oyster does in my soil. I would not grow at this point without adding mycorrhizae to my soil. I’m done wasting my time here

I dont know why you dont know the info on nutes, temp, pictures sympToms. Ive given all of that 3 times. NO NUTES!! I HAVE USED NO NUTES, NOT ANY EVER. then everything went yellow. How else do you need me to say it. I put seed in dirt. It grew. I put in bigger pot it grew better. Opend tent one day PLANTS WERE YELLOW WITH NO NUTES EVER.. tem is 75 deg humidity 48-55% thought it might have been over watered so i let the dry untill they asked for water. Gave them water they got worse STILL NO DAMN NUTES TEMP STILL75 DEG raisex lights about 10-12inches it didnt help HERE IT IS AGAIN STILL NO NUTES. i waited till they were dry gave them (for the first time ever) calmag. Nothing happenned. 3 days later gave them epsoms salt foliar spray. Didnt help. STILL NO DAMN NUTES. waited 3 days gave then a half dose of NUTES FINALLY 24-8-16. no response!. It cant get any more plain. And before you say i haven given you any info on what Nutes i gave. I GAVE NO FREAKIN NUTES. Not untill couple days ago. If you would read from where you said the first 3 times about nutes, i told you NONE. PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU REPEAT YOUR RESPONSE.
well at least we know what your doing wrong now. In nature your roots will expand and go find what it needs and use bacteria and fungi to get it, in your little pot of a world that the plant lives in you need to provide that.

and for like a foliar spray a one time application wont fix it, you have to keep doing it to see results.

The only thing that happens growing weed over night is you can kill it, everything else takes days, to see results

he hasn't used any fertilizer, what are they suppose to survive on? If he doesn't feed the soil, HE NEEDS TO FEED THE PLANT. it's one or the other.

if the mico isn't fed something, they eat everythig and die.

I feed weekly compost/nutrition tea every week with dragonfly earth medicine products. Would that feed the fungi? I’m actually asking sincerely because I am ALWAYS trying to learn more

Oh but they did ... 24 - 8 - 16 post is quoted above.

Agreed it's probably one or the other, if there isn't something else nobody is seeing.

I'm always learning, organics is a tough one. I'm not that deep into it that I know what works and or doesn't. but from what i know it sounds like you're doing it close to right.
