PH problem i believe ???

ok well my tap water is around 7 apparently....i was using white vinegar for a while to drop it just a little bit but think it backfired over time possibly ???

FFOF soil....nutes shouldnt be burn only fed one time..they are 12/12 from seed blue dream !!! the runoff of one of the pots was slike 5.5 idk how it got that low lol (((



they have had a little N tox because i put some used coffee grounds at basae of stem like a 1/2 tsp of em lol what is quickest way to return my PH up im assuming unless it was a bad reading which i dont think so lol just use some higher PH water for next watering or 2 ?

N should i use over 7 PH to level it out or 7 until it slowlt levels out i dont want em to keel over on me lol

Just use your tap water all the time. No need to adjust PH in soil unless you start to have issues. The soil is a natural buffer.

Vineger? Who told you to use that? Bleach will bring your ph up but don't use that either. Balancing the soil is something that should be done before the plant(s) is in the soil.

No I used a little vinegar in my water to lower ph couple posts on here people ha said could be used just not on regular

If your on a town or city water supply...like the man said, 'straight outta the tap'. It's clourinated and will up your ph up to seven after a while. If I didn't see a marked improvement in the new upper leaves within' like 10 days I'd consider a transplant.

I use apple cider vinegar for lowering and baking soda to up it. Use organic nutes they are alot more forgiving, try half grow nutes. I always make sure the water and nutes are at max 6.9 and min 6.5.

Yes, pH the water/fed going in higher. FFOF should stabilize the pH but it lacks enough dolomite lime and egg shells to do so over the mid-long run. You need to add dolomite lime in FFOF soil to control pH well.
Grab some EJ or any brand of pH up and down, I use it all the time and it doesn't harm the soil or plant. IGNORE anyone that tells you pH doesn't matter or that your soil with magically pH itself. In theory a good soil should stabilze pH, but this is not the reality. If I fed my soil, which is FFOF straight 7pH or 8pH like my tap is, I would have alkaline soil that wouldn't be able to stabilize the pH to the safe zone around 6.5. Same goes for if water/fed is 5.5 or so and if I would continue to fed at those levels the soil will be too acidic.
You need to control your pH.

I use 70% FFOF/15% Worm castings/15% perlite and 1 TBSP of dolomite lime every 1 gal of soil. I pH my water/fed going in from first watering to about the last few weeks before harvest. I maintain pH near 6.5 by week 3 of veg and it doesn't go north or south after that. It's not too hard.
A good pH meter, some pH up and down, and a good base soil with lime to help stabilize pH over time.

PH is your issue.

Well it's the oldest fan leafs that's have got those spots yellowed and died on the bigger one new growth healthy and the other has those deformations n looksoke slight burn

use dolomite lime chunked or powder in a new soil. transplant and use 1/4 cup to 3 gallons soil

So would granulated work or should I just get se dolomite from online

and without transplanting what should i do just keep feeding them a little water with some PH up...???I got a rubbermaid with FFOF soil a tad bit of used coffee grounds and perlite on the way !! Gonna add some lime to it soon as i get some also and mix it up and let it sit so granulated i hear just takes longer to break down ?? confirm anyone or ? never used it lol

If you're dead set on not doing a transplant don't go over 7ph on your water and do not attempt to amend the soil with the plant growing in it. If you do a run off at 6ph with water balanced at 7ph you know that the ph of the soil is less than 6. So when the run off is in the high sixes with 7ph going in you know the soil will be about 6.5 so adjust your ph accordingly and use a ph up or down purchased from a grow shop to avoid such problems in the future. Beats me what this all has to do with the power of hydrogen. So basically if the ph has to go down don't mix the solution to less than 6ph and if the ph has to go up don't mix your water over 7ph.

Ok bro yeah idk how my ph got so low.... Read like 5.3 runoff !! Unless my meter was messing up ! Those brown spots on leafs on the big one are still showing up but all new growth looks fine . And the shorter one I think is recovering

Your runoff contains the wastes of plant metabolism like in soil outdoors. Plus decomposing organic material which all adds up to acidic. Plus the only O2 many containerized plants get is in water unless you till and/or probe the soil to let O2 to the root zone.
