PH Perfect? More like PH Pain in the A$$

For my most recent grow, I had to switch to the "PH Perfect" Sensi 2-part from the standard Sensi 2-part. My experience has been less than pleased.

It seems that the PH wants to stay put now, but at 6.5....

With the standard stuff I might have to add about 1tbsp of ph down to bring my res to 5.7. With this "PH Perfect" crap, I have to add way more acid than I am comfortable with, 3-4 tbsp. For 13 gallons. I am not a fan.

Has anyone else experienced the same issue?

im no expert on this subject but i've got the same issue, i was told this was normal? depends what water you are using. its ph perfect so the ph doesnt matter that much i guess... ;s

if u use RO-water the ph would stabilise at 5.8 (as they claim)

Unless the cost of the acid is high don't sweat it. It is not going to harm your plants.

The problem with ph perfect is you must mix your nutes to full strength! This allows the ph perfect to
hold a more ph 5 range. If you mix 1/2 to 3/4 strength it will hold at a higher ph. Now this sucks cause
we all know if you mix to full strength you will fry your shit lol.

good luck with it! I just left it after using for 3 years. For canna :)

I do mix full strength... It doesn't burn too bad, usually just the tiniest bit of the tips get a bit burned, but I kinda like pushing the limits. I am not using RO, but I am off-gassing 24 hours prior to mixing.

I went over to canna (aqua) from vitalink and now, instead of checking/adusting pH every couple of days, I set it when i change the res, check/adjust on day 2 and it stays stable from there. Great stuff.:eyesmoke:

I've had nothing but good experiences with pH Perfect, so this is a new conversation for me. That said, I use the full system, so I don't know if that's what you're doing too...

Mr I Can Do That For Half
Just make it easy and use fox farm. Its great hydro nutes and hard as hell to burn. i can go up to 1900ppm with no issues on most my own strains. Ph is simple as I can use pool ph up and down which at wal mart costs about $8 for 8 lbs of granuals use few table spoons at most if my water is up and maintain 5.5 all day long.
