heys guys its neno again...i have yet another question, this time about calibrating your ph meter. i recently upgraded my digital ph meter and i was wantin to know how important it is to calibrate to both 7.0 and 4.0. the hydro salesman said as long as you calibrate to just one its ok, is this accurate guys?

stays relevant.
Yes because if your pen is calibrated it at 7 its going to be the same regardless. The pH of the buffer solution is always going to be the same unless you dilute it, so you should only need to calibrate it with one. Remember to keep the meter moist, and calibrate regularly.

If you keep the meter in the buffer solution 24/7 when you're not using it, it makes it easier to calibrate, because if you turn it on and its in the solution, and the pH meter says anything but 7.0 you know you either need to calibrate up or calibrate down.
