Tell him not to destroy them, that would be a waste of time and effort. I had the same problem and flowered mine out and the bud was still a really nice smoke :bigjoint:

I had the exact same problem and I couldn't figure it out to save my life, it started around the same time as your plants. And it only got worse and worse but in the end after I harvested the plants and I trimmed them up you couldn't even tell the Flower had any kind of problems, it was a super nice smoke and it got me high af. :bigjoint: in the future I would go for in house genetics platinum kush breath remix, it's a really nice smoke and it's super easy to grow. And go for coco instead of soil because coco is super hard to overwater :)

I recommend you do a precipitation test...you pH down as normal in a medium see through container and leave it out covered overnight. Then see if there's gunk settled out at the bottom. Try to pour off the top water without disturbing the bottom gunk. Then repeat the pH down procedure and wait 45mins to see if it crashes the same or not. That's only one step to find out what's going on without lab tests and still wont fix what will happen in the soil after it's poured in but I've done what i can to help. It's ur water and if that's ur only option you need to find a workaround to use the water.

Here is my solution. Carry on as normal but don't PH your water, as I think you had a similar issue to me, your water is too hard and it causes problems with PH up and down. in this case I think it's best not to PH your water. Just let your water sit out for 24 hours to get rid of any chemicals in the water and add the nutrients to your water and give it a good mix, keep it simple, give them 12 hours of light, feed them every time the soil is dry (at least 1 inch deep) and I think the problem will go away on it's own.

if the water is that hard, it's worth looking at nutrients that are made for hard water. My water tested out to 220ppm, and I switched to a micro for hard water and it's made things easier to deal with.

My water is about 500ppm just on it's own with no nutrients added, every time I add PH down it rises back to it's original PH after 12 hours due to buffers in the water which causes some kind of crazy chemical reaction where the PH down and water don't mix properly, the result was super crusty brown leaves on my Wedding cake plants just like Anxiousgrower woman is experiencing.

agreed with that, honestly i think she should throw the ph stuff out....and just water.....

another would prolly be the soil, i did a search on here just for the sake of it, and i'd be maybe 80% of the people have a hard time with happy frog, me personally i think it's to HOT right out of the bag and needed to be mix with something since it's a living soil it also comes with it own NPK like 5/7/3 which kinda tells me it has nutes already in it (i could be wrong), imo i this is a pieace of it..........like i said i could be wrong

That's why I always enjoy using coco, because it has absolutely no nutrients in the medium whatsoever, so whatever I add to the coco I know what's going into my plants and it's super hard to overwater and overfeed them, you get better yields with coco also :)

I use happy frog with no problems. Ocean forest is hot. Happy frog is pretty mild in comparison.

i'v never used coco

i've gotten into making my own soils, been doing it for years no problem......

Calcium carbonate common in hard water,it buffers ph back to neutral.
