Just top dress the pot with some lime and water it in. Start with a 1/4 cup and check the PH in another couple days.

I have hard well water and when Ive mixed lime in my water it made the minerals in the water fall out of suspension and drop to the bottom.

So now, Lime is part of my recipe that gets mixed in with the soil before planting.

You apply dolomite lime at the strength of 2 tbs per gallon of soil.

He is growing in a 5 gallon pot so a normal dose would be 10 tablespoons. There is 16 tbs in a cup and 4 tbs in a 1/4 cup.

Because if the soil is to acidic bad things can happen such as;
Indirectly soil acidity can have an effect on one or more of the following:
(1) Availability of essential elements
(2) Activity of soil microorganisms
(3) Solubility and potency of toxic elements
(4) Prevalence of plant diseases
(5) Competitive ability of different plant species
(6) Physical condition of the soil (when lime is used to raise the pH)

I never check ph and water from my hose and I have monster bushes check my thread. I understand the botany behind growing. Have you had the soil checked? All I'm trying to help you see is Ph isnt everything growing in soil. If the plants look good I would not change this late in the game. But again they your plants have fun. Dirrtyd

I checked the soil twice, in a period of about four days, i checked it with 2 diffrent devices. the first time i checked it the ph was like 5.1, i was afraid that it was eventually going to burn my plant up or get nut lock. for about a week i seen unreal growth about 2 inches a day then it went to nothing. I feed it dyna gro and eventually bloom.. and rain water which is acidic enough already...Thanks for your help..
