Hi all, please be nice I'm new to dwc.
Currently growing a lemon berry photo in an oxypot under 2 Mars ts1000. Temps are a steady 25°c and Rh is 56%. I filled oxypot to desired level with tap water, added some neutralize from ecothrive and let it bubble for 1hr then mixed in 5ml of vita link a and 5ml vita link b for hard water. I then phd the solution to 5.5 and let it bubble for another hour. The pH rose slightly to 6.8 so I added a bit more pH down. The ppm of solution is 450ppm and water temp is 22°c. The problem I'm having is that every hour or so the pH is raising to around 7. Currently having to pH down every hour or so. What am I doing wrong?

What size is the res? Bigger res will have a more stable ph. Also Are you adding any thing to sterilize your res?

Ph will also rise with from the air stones agitating the water.

To many Airstones = High pH?

Quick question, can to many air stones in your reservoir cause your pH level to rise? I don't understand why my pH rises so quickly after I adjust it?. Any help would be awesome........

I bought it as a kit. They are called the oxypot. I would assume the airstone would be the correct size for the pot. I believe it's a 2inch ball. https://www.growell.co.uk/growing-systems/hydroponics-growing-systems/iws-oxy-pot.html

I have now tried everything and can say I give up with dwc. I've done a few tests and still none the wiser. I thought it may be the clay pebbles raising pH so I put some in a jug of water with a jug of plain water next to it. Left it 24hrs and both jugs still had the same pH.

Get RO water.
Regardless if you use hydro or coco.
This is so important, it will save you so many headaches.
This RO cost me $145, plus $50 in other parts and connections. Total investment was $200 or so. Connected it to a float in a 35g rubbermaid garbage with a pvc spicket at the bottom. Works amazing, and water is at 0 ppm. (Also ran a line to the kitchen for great drinking water)

I wish I could, I just don't have space, I live in a 1 bed 1st floor flat with no garden or outside space

The ro is extreamly compact and simple, works right on a countertop even, you can screw it onto a faucet to make water, then unscrew it and put it away if you wanted.
I have mine mounted on the wall right in the grow room, connected to a copper pipe I cut, and added a "quick connect" garden hose attachment. Works great, and only took me about an hour to set up. Trust me, its really simple, I have trouble believing you couldn't do it
Its used indoors so im not sure why you would need a garden or outdoor space
