Ph issue/yellow tips

I’m a newbie grower, my question is. I have a bunch of seedlings that are roughly two weeks old. I grow in coco, I ph my nute res to 5.9 but I’ve just seen my tips are just turning yellow.. I checked with my probe at the root zone and that is sitting at 5.0.. this is too low right? How would I remedy this without taking my res out of optimal range?? Humidity and Temps are perfect and no fresh air issues have fans. Light is about 500mm away from canopy.. Love the threads guys, so much good information! image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Do you get substantial run off every time you feed?
Coco should never get bone dry........if that's happening every 24 hrs., you need to either up-pot or start feeding twice a day.

Overall they look pretty darn good, but, I'd up pot those into maybe 3 gallon pots, looks like they will be rootbound soon. As far light distance, we'd need to know what kind of lights, true draw wattage. They look a little stretchy. If it were me I'd start at the manufacturers suggestion and move them down a couple inches after a week or so, if everything looks good. Were those from seed or clones? You've already got alternating nodes.

Yeah sweet, I’ll start with re potting. I have them ready to go and was going to do this over the weekend. I’m running 600w hps as they get bigger and what not I’ll be flicking the other 600w one on.. that should be good over 17 of them? Clones mate, mighty mite and white rhino.

Okay, this makes sense! I usually do give decent run off but have been worried about over feeding as I had issues with this last time! Very helpful! Thanks!

Pretty sure I see early signs of flowering when zooming in. If they're clones that makes them photo period so they flower when they are on 12/12 lights off/on. What's your lighting schedule?

I thought that at first too, but they are clones, so the alternating nodes and occassional caylxes means they are mature (old) enough, but until he flips them they will stay in veg. Pretty common with clones.

Yeah that’s my understanding, all the clones I’ve done have very visible female sex organs fairly early on. Definitely not in flower yet!

Water to 25% runoff. You want to get all the unused nutes out, so the ratios stay as close as possible. You don't need to worry about overfeeding, unless you add too much nutrient to the water.

Okay sweet, they are in 2.5L pots at the moment. What would be an ideal amount to feed each one at a time so I can work out that run off roughly you think?

Again, that's gonna be something to experiment with. Plant size, humidity, and temp, are going to play a part, but I would think if everything is within range, once a day until roots start filling out the container, would work.

I just keep them wet. In coco you shouldn’t have an issue with overwatering. I water to 25% runoff 2 times a day once right at lights on and again usually about 8 hours later. This works for me will it work for you? Maybe but you’ll have to figure that out. The only time I’ve run into nute issues is when I let them get too dry.
