PH in potted soil

This is how I feed. I have a 44 gal garbage can with r o water in it. I mix my nutes up in a 5 gal bucket separately, then pour into can. My res (can) has a bad ass air pump and two air stones.

I let nutes sit over night at leastto let my ph settle then I adjust and use a pump to feed my plants i soil. I feed at 6.5 every time. I noticed my run off is in the high 7 and my ppms are higher too.

My question is : Should I lower the ph Im giving them? How important are run-off readings?

If ur in soil, 7's about as high as u wanna go. I'm curious about ur runoff readings and ur tester, is it the kit with the drops?

Try feeding at 6.0 and see what the runoff is.

I was thinking along the lines of 6.0 too . . . I use a 24 7 tester. It has a ppm and ph tester. I haven't done the old school drops for a while. Ima try some drops too, those are never wrong!

That's why i was wonderin about ur runoff too. I gotta use the drops at least till after xmas. Doesn't the color of the runoff affect the color of the test?

No. After you add nutes the ph needs to be adjusted, and nute water is no where close to clear.
