pH going down in flower?

I've been running a Stink Bud variation of two tubs and in the later stages of flower the pH seems to go down instead of up!
Question does dope change it's chemical transfer in Flower? It seems like it changes it's waste products in later flowering.

I think it all depends on your waters pH, and your nutrient pH. I just use tap water and my tap pH is around 8.5, nutrient pH is much lower like 5, if my pH is dropping it means my plants are drinking more water than up taking nutrients, hence the lower pH in the nutes. Try to find the balance of nutes where pH swings at a slower rate.

In veg, plants pull a lot of nitrate (No3) which drives ph up. In bloom, plants pull a lot of potassium (K) which drives the ph down.

Thanks, I thought it was something like that.

My tap water is about 7.0 and 130-170 ppm so not too bad. I've been using GH Bloom and Micro, but just ran out of Micro.

Do the plants look healthy? They may just be drinking more water that nutes, does the ppm go up as well?

Check and smell roots for root rot!?

That is pretty normal. The plant is using more P which in turn is causing it to acidify your nutrient solution.
In flower you are using a lot of N, which has the opposite effect.
That is what I saw during flowering.
That is conditional on everything else being healthy.

By my measuring stick, it's totally normal for there to be mild PH drop in preflower and onwards. I always go from a rising PH in veggy to a falling PH in flower. As long as mine don't drop by more than about .1-.2 in a day, I don't concern myself much and just adjust the PH. When/if it begins to drop more than that daily, I take notice but still don't make any drastic changes, I just watch the plants carefully and readjust PH.

Well I'm not panicking, the plants are looking okay. I had to pick of a big bud of NL that was hitting my lights and damn, it's pretty good smoke. I'm waiting for it to amber up but it's taking it's own sweet time doing it. Going in to the 5th month since germination ( they are autos).

Uptake of P in bloom will drive the ph up not down ;) Its mainly the heavy potassium uptake in bloom that causes it to fall. Fwiw, N can drive the ph up or down depending what form of N it is. Nitrate (NO3) drives it up, ammonium NH4 drives it down.

That's great, as long as your plant's look healthy you're good to go...don't be nervous about using too much PH up or down. It's just converted to nutrients by your plant, doesn't do any harm to your plants.

I added a bit (~4ml) of Baking soda to bring the pH up and god it is powerful in the ~10 gal res! went from 4.8 to 6.7. So I'm trying a good amount of down ~25 ml, will check it in the AM. I had added 10 ml of down and it only moved about 0.3.

I have been smoking some Tangerine Dream from round #1 and thought it Okay. THe Northern Lights is much better. It could be that I cured it better though.

Shit, yeah. Right on. I mis-spoke. K will drive your PH down. Thanks for clarifying.

My Micro arrived and with it, my pH is 5.7 and steady. I've been harvesting a few buds and the weed is good.
