pH? Ferts? What's wrong with this plant?

2 week old seedling. I didnt know any better so in the first day or so of life i gave it ferts and then immediately flushed for the rest of the time. its grown big grotesque leaves and looks all wrinkled and the leaves feel weirdly textured

^Agreed, looks like PH twist, to me, from the PH being too high. It also looks like magnesium is the most dominant deficiency, which makes sense, because it gets locked out at lower PH, than most other nutrients. Check your PH, I bet it's too high.

thanks, yeah i have a digital pH checker which tells me theyre all between 5.5 - 6.5.

im giving that plant right now - 25 mL AN grow, 25 mL micro, 5 mL bloom, 30 mL hydrozyme, and 30 mL AquaShield.

I almost always check pH once a day and keep it stable, could it be that i didnt soak the rockwool long enough before i put the germinated seed in?

Yeah - you probably want the ph a bit down. For hydro with my plants they like ph 5.5-6.0 best. At 6.5 they start looking like that. I'm ready to bet here ;O))
And yessss. Rockwool is pressy high ph so you want to soak it - not just a tale.

I've been religiously checking pH for the past 2-3 weeks at least once a day since I finally got a digital pH meter. Before it sucked testing pH with the color indicator stuff and I never could get an accurate reading that way.

I keep the pH between 5.5 and 6.5 all the time. In fact I prefer it to be around 5.8-5.9 just so it's in the middle and because the pH steadily rises I like to start it off a bit on the acidic side.

But even if the res pH is okay, will the rockwool and hydroton that touches the roots still mess things up?
