then she sprouted:

about a month later:


about 2.5 weeks after that I noticed some internodal growth:

totally exciting considering my first plant which turned out to be male had none.

about another month later (today):

it will need 12 hours light and 12 hours darkness to start the flowering faze, do you have it under sunlight or light bulbs?

sunlight right now but my lamp should be here in a day or two, I know how much light it will need.. right now it's on 18/6 and I just looked at the calendar it's 11 weeks old today.. I just don't know when it should start flowering and how long it should flower for before harvest (I think I read it should flower for 11-12 weeks, please correct me if I'm wrong)

I'm planning on transplanting it when the lamp gets here, let me know if this is a good idea or not at this age.

you can start to flower whenever you like miss.

it looks mature enough to flower. remember it will prob double in size while flowering.

it should show sex after a couple of weeks of 12/12. and depending on its strain it could take anywhere from 8 - 12 weeks.

transplanting would be a good idea. can you see roots at the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot?

I can't see the drainage holes on the pot because it's got a built in pan.. I'll probably break it if I try to take it off, and/or spill everything.

has it been in the same pot for a while now?

if so a change would prob do it good. it gives the roots more room to grow and you plant will grow better.

what light will you be using?

it's been in the same pot since I planted it, the lamp I got is 150 watt agrosun something or other.. I got it on amazon with a replacement bulb for like $60 because the next step up was over $100 and I don't have that kind of money to spend. I read on concept420 it should work fine.

yeh it sounds like a 150w HPS system.

yes i would definately change your pot to a bigger one with fresh compo.

your plants looks healthy.

I transplanted her today as the lamp came in, turns out she did indeed have roots growing through the bottom of the pot, I gathered as many as I could but there was a good amount stuck to the bottom, I'm hoping for the best I even destroyed the old pot in trying not to hurt her. Pray for her for me please, I know I will. I'm going to let her get settled in her new pot for a week or two before I start flowering.

I didn't put the stick back that was holding her up because.. well.. she didn't need it! supercropping really helped her stem strength.
Thank you for all your help and support, I've never really gardened before so this is a first for that and growing my own stash and the positive feedback really helps boost my confidence.

I have the alarm on my phone set at two times to remind me to turn the lamp on and off xD
I also placed it further away from the clothes in my closet, good thing I have a walk-in ;)

well Petunia has been in her new pot going on her second day. I don't know when she would start showing signs of distress if I had botched it but I do know that she is absolutely radiant under this new lamp, her leaves even seem to sparkle! none of her fan leaves are touching the others like they were before and the cell alarm to turn the light on and off is working out well for me. I don't know why I didn't get a lamp sooner xD





Needless to say, with each passing day I am more confident and I'm looking forward to start her flowering in a week or so.
This is a great community and I appreciate all the help and support I've gotten here, I'm open to suggestions if you've got any :)

the stem of the plant is still quite weak, its not doing it any harm at the minute but for the future if you can get a small fan and have it gently blowing on the plant. that should strengthen it up in no time.

still looks very green any healthy though.

I've been looking around the site and I've decided Petunia should have already started showing signs of SEX, according to some sources I've read indica matures faster but I just don't see it! She's almost 12 weeks old, when I put her in the flowering cycle will that force her to show sex? (note I've been calling it a female, this is hopeful thinking)

yeh after about a week of 12/12 it will show its sex, surprised its not showing anything at all though.
