The bottle said omri organic 99% petroleum oil and had almost no smell. It was in with a box of grow supplements my friend inharited. I have never seen the product before but i knew someone who used to paint raw oil on citrus trees to deter pests and boost trunk growth. Does anyone know what this product might be for or have heard of this?

Petroleum oil on citrus trees is used to stop ants and other crawling insects from infesting them. Not sure what the use could be in a canna garden. Unless you want to paint some yellow bits of paper and use them as makeshift gnat traps. Not sure how well that would work.

yep they painted oil on citrus.. back in the 1900's in LA to avoid moths and flies

problem then is uncle Bostok had a fire that went way outta control

burnt the entire place down

some guy showed up bought the place for a song

renamed it to 'Hollywood'

uncle went home and bought a fishing boat

that later sink with him in it

use COLD PRESSED NEEM OIL'

you don't catch fire easy

organic good for bugs and molds

good luck

I want to ask. Where are you and what store was this in?
It came in a box with maybe 25 bottles of different stuff for plants with a light some sensi bloom a and b from before they had a picture on the bottle. Not in a store. A second hand gift.
what is the brand name of the product?

like this http://www.arbico-organics.com/product/jms-stylet-oil-omri-listed-insecticide-fungicide-viricide/organic-insecticides
also a petroleum distillate, organic, for gardening.
I will go back and see. Maybe take a picture. It may have been clear like the one in your link. It was just 99% oil and i had a hunch it was for the same thing as the link

It was a quart size. Everything was used for grow. Don't know what specifically it was used for.
