Plants that are relatively small I have seen people put mosquito netting over and it keeps the moths that make bud worms from laying eggs. Outdoors you will see some bugs, I don't sweat them myself. Often nature will take care of aphids with lady bugs.

If you're wanting something safe for Flower I would look into Flying Skull Nuke em and Dr. Zymes. Both are expensive but will control most pest including Aphids and are great for Powdery Mildew.
Or like Mandocat said, if you're wanting a more natural approach you could order ladybugs off amazon and put mosquito net over the plants and release the ladies. Otherwise release them in the evening with a water source and good majority will hang around for a few days.

Aphids are easy outdoor just hose them off.
Citric acid is effective against thrips, aphids and spider mite, I've personally had success twice eradicating spider mite using a mixture of Citric and and wetting agent.
A wetting agent is important it removes surface tension just water and wetting agent is effective at drowning them but doesn't deal with eggs, normally in nature waters surface tension against the hairs on insects can create a safety bubble with a wetting that's not possible it cannot happen, they drown!
If you put a drop of wetting agent or dish soap into water with springtails on the surface you'll see them fall through the water surface it's instantaneous on contact.

I had aphids really bad a few years ago. I would come out in the early morning and there would be hundreds if not thousands still out in top of the leaves. I tried sprays, soil soaks, and washing the entire plant (probably 15 times) which did help. They always were there the next morning tho. The thing that seemed to make the biggest difference is I planted mint. Maybe it’s a coincidence but this year I have not seen one aphid. Very grateful for that!
I will say when I have had them that in mid/late flower they seem to sort of subside somewhat.

Thanks for your reply. I was outside yesterday going to thin out my two big plants and I started noticing green lacewing eggs throughout both plants. There’s something to say about companion planning. I’m a firm believer in it now. Hopefully these guys will keep away in any future pest.

been telling this to people for years, its why i grow so many different plants in my little alley way, if you keep up your garden the other plants will draw pests or repel pests depending on the plants grown
