Perpetual harvest?

Can a person harvest buds off an autoflower and it continually put out more buds? Also how do you get your plant to produce seed? Tried drying out and changing light cycle but that doesn't seem to make them put on some pods. Also how long will it take for the pods to develope and the seed to become mature? 3 weeks? Month? Longer?
