Perpetual harvest setups?

So I've gotten my feet wet for almost a year now. 2 photos and 1 auto harvest. 1 more going in to flower this week. So far i have a 4x8 for flower, 3.5x3x5 area with mylar blankets for veg and a 2x4 table with t8s for clones and seedlings. I'm looking into either a 4x4 or 5x5. I'm considering using the 4x8 for veg and autos together. While using a 5x5 for flower. Or get a 4x4 for veg especially in the winter. Dehumidifier is crucial for summer because my humidity gets up there. So a 4x4 is difficult to use anything else in there. Maybe ill just get another 4x8. I can keep mothers, veg, and autos. While consistently harvest my 4x8 flower room every month. How do yall run your perpetual harvest?

Harness the power of 3… that is three separate grow areas: one small area for seedlings/clones, another larger area for mid-life vegging, and the largest area is reserved for flowering. It is like baking cookies…take em out the oven when they done and drop in the next batch.
A cloner is highly recommended; literally a requirement for perpetuity. I like the design of the clone king aero style cloners but you could also DIY one out a tote bin or something. It is worth the investment; plus you can sell/trade the extras.
A 30 day turnover is not all that easy to maintain without gaps; timing is critical. Get to know your strains & try to clone the hell out of any of the phenos you find that finish in 10 weeks or less.

Well said, this is exactly what I do. A friend and I have been hunting through packs and strains for years. Exchanging cuts. Keeping a collective of what we like. It's nice to have variety of what you like while continuing to hunt for new.

Perpetual setups tend to not be as clean and tidy as other setups so my first tip would be to spray and wipe it down with a mild cleaning solution. some soapy water or diluted vinegar, or diluted bleach even. EVERY run, for bugs, their eggs, mold spores, pollen, etc. Take the plants from one tent to a less crowded one for a bit.

Ive also found my ~$50 shop-vac to be an invaluable tool for getting any dead leaves or dirt, etc off the tent floor. again, tidy is good. Vac and spray your runoff trays between runs too. a splash of iso or dish soap and a scrub can get the grimiest trays brand new again.

Id also do as Mr drysift said and run 3 tents, or more ideally. If you run 2 flower tents or rooms and start bloom in one a couple weeks(or however much time you want) after the next you'll have 2 spaced out harvests for a steadier supply of fresh herb. A 2x3x3' tent fits perfectly on a washer or dryer and can fit like 15 clones in solo cups or a full dome and tray setup. A 2' T5 (4) bulb setup fits perfectly in there,or something like an HLG100 would be good too. Love my lil Vivosun tent, its been great.

Damn I wish I could afford all that. I'm happy just to have one very well setup 2x4 tent. Lol. It's still my passion tho. As soon as I get my solar setup I'm loving the idea tho. Thanks

Wish i knew enough people who grow to trade. Maybe down the road, were only 2 years in to legal Rec. No dispensaries yet, just like 3 medical stores. Wish i kept this one pheno that was done at 8w. But I'll take your suggestion and get a cloner. Cause i suck with rockwool. My success rate is like 50/50 haha. Wonder if clonex would help me. 20220115_190745.jpg20220115_190735.jpg

i've run a perpetual for about 7 years now. ten plants in flower, 6 or 7 in veg, another 6 or 7 clones...i pull one a week usually, unless they seem to be taking their time getting done, but one a week on average, with ten weeks of flower time. i've got 4 strains i run, and i picked them all partially because they finish pretty reliably in that amount of time. also because they're good...GG4 from expert seeds, NL X WW, cookies and cream from Pev, and critical poison from double ought seeds.
I start clones in quart sized containers of coco, move to half gallon pots for veg, then into 3 gallon hempy buckets for flower. i take about half a dozen clones from the one i put in the flower tent last week, and thin them down to the best looking one to replace the one i just put in flower....so they actually get close to 10 weeks veg time, not counting the week to ten days it usually takes them to root up

3 areas, two plants in veg area get moved to their own 2x2.5 tent for flower. One fan pulling air from both tents, veg area not in a tent. 2 months in veg, 2 months in flower. Plants are already lst'd before they get to flower, they get two weeks of growth in flower before being scrogged and flipped so there should be a week or two clean the flower tent after harvest.

Honestly a clone king or even a DIY style aero cloner works like a charm. I get roots in a week every time. Nearly 100% propagation rate. No clonex no root compound; just tap water. Ez breezy. DM me if you live near CT USA; got trades for daze yo
