perpetual electric usage question, help please!

hello all,

I been out the game for a little while and am ready to get back on the saddle again.

I am looking to go with a perpetual grow system this time round which will keep me in bud all year round. Looking for a harvest every 4 weeks.

I am looking for answers in regards to my potential electric usage. I live in a 2 bedroom flat with a lounge as well. My set up is as follows:

Lounge mother room and clones = 125 cfl light
vegging- 2 tents with 2x 600 watt hps= 1200 watt hps

room 1 flowering room 1-4 weeks - 2 tents with 2x 600 watt hps= 1200 watt hps

room 2 flowering room 5-8/9 weeks - 2 tents with 4x 600 watt hps= 2400 watt hps

total usage is 4925 watts.

My question really is, bearing in mind that it is a 2 bedroom flat with a lounge, will this electric usage stand out with the leccy company?

there will be nothing else in the house using electric apart from the intake/outtake fans used in the tents.

thanx for your understanding guys and gals and thank you in advance for your help.

peace

The cost of power is roughy 12 cents per kw hour. That is 1000 watts for 1 hour.
Your veg room is on for lets say 18 hrs, so 1.325 kwatts x .12 = 0.159 / hr, so .159 x 18 = 2.86 / day
Flower rooms , 12 hrs/day , so 3.6kw x .12=.432/ hr , so .432 x 12 = 5.18 / day
So on a 2 month power bill it would roughly be 2.86 + 5.18 = 8.04 x 60 = 482.4 and then taxes on top of that and whatever charges on top of that. Every place charges different rates for power also, so 12 cents for a KW hour may be different so just check yur power bill and find the rate for a kilowatt hour.
Peace and good luck

Maybe he was pissed because u gave him all that misleading info. 64.8 kwh , thats 64 800 watts per hour . lmao that s a 70 thousand dolla power bill.

My formula for a growroom is where its at to find how much its costing , Total watts / 1000 = ? x price per Kilowatt hour =? x number of hours, very simple.

How many times do you need to know the answer to the same question?????

if you buy anything from SUNLIGHT SUPPLIES they give you a energy calculator. i will upload here in a bit. but his formula seems about right. i also just picked up a SUNLIGHT SUPPLY INC Catalog and they have the energy chart in there for every KWH broken down from $.05 an hr al the way up to $.22 an hr. ill scan it into my laptop her in a bit. and ill post it up.

and ya JON, just because he posted and it was answered doesnt mean it figured it out. you seem a little up tight man. you might want to call a buddy to get that hair out your ass, just a suggestion. you are pretty negative to people. just what ive seen from you so far...im new, so do not mind me.

Just with your HPS lights taking vegging on 18/6 and your 2 flower rooms you are using 64.8kwh per day of electricity.

J

See the PER DAY of electricity.

Not being funny just showing that it was per day!.

here is the quote from the other thread

Lounge mother room and clones = 125 cfl light
vegging- 2 tents with 2x 600 watt hps= 1200 watt hps

room 1 flowering room 1-4 weeks - 2 tents with 2x 600 watt hps= 1200 watt hps

room 2 flowering room 5-8/9 weeks - 2 tents with 4x 600 watt hps= 2400 watt hps

total usage is 4925 watts.

OK so from this we can clearly see that he has
2 vegging tents running probably 18/6 each with a 600w in it.
1200w x 18hours = 21600watts used divided by 1000 to get the kwh = 21.6kwh

then he has flower room1
with 2x600w running 12/12
1200w x 12hours = 14400 watts used divided by 1000 to get the kwh = 14.4kwh

then he has flower room2
with 4x600w running 12/12
2400w x 12hours = 28800 watts used divided by 1000 to get the kwh = 28.8kwh

Add all these numbers together

21.6+14.4+28.8 and you get 64.8kwh per day of electricity usage.

What am i not getting right according to you?
