Permanent T5 fluorescents?

I've been using a 2'x4-tube, (24W ea) T5 system with a "blue"ish spectrum beaming down on my new hobby for the last 3 weeks. They seem to be doing fine -and from what I've been reading, that should be the case in early stages- but I'm concerned about whether they will flower efficiently with this system when I reach that point. Should I replace them "red" spectral bulbs when I switch to 12/12 or do I need to buy an HPS or MH light? I'm trying not to drop too much cheez on this until it's successful once. Although, if necessary...
Thanks for the help.

yupp..Ceramic Metal Halide(c.m.h.) is the best light that you can possibly use for vegetative growth..n High Pressure Sodium (h.p.s.) would be tha right choice for your flowering season..
tho you might wanna know, from the infrences ive made over my weeks of research., the hps is able to be used for both (vegg&budd) stages.. while in comparison, the cmh is excellent for vegging but ive heard a little about people complaining because there buds are more fluffy then dense..n vice/versa with the hps...btw, this is all js IMO and though theyre based on expieriences..no strain reacts the same to certain things., but you cant go wrong with these....hope this helps youu bro...

im liking my flourescents in my veg box.. but I dont think i'd wanna flower under them. It would be way to hard to get light to penetrate a flowering plant from them.

now that we've brought up the cmh it made me remember/think of something else, if you go the hps route get a son-aggro bulb, it has both blue spectrum lighting and red spectrum lighting.

Thanks fellow hobbyists. I'll prolly end up with an HPS for the flwr stage; it just makes sense to hit it with the best light when it counts. BTW, I'm off to an appt for my MMJ card tomorrow. It's going to be an epic event in my history. I may even frame it. =D
