Perlite % in soil

I've been using 1/3 perlite with my Fox Farms OF soil, and it seems to take to long to dry out. Just out of curiosity, what % perlite do you use.

i dont use that fox farms but i use kelloggs patio plus. its along the same line just more affordable. but i use around a 50/50 soil perlite mite even go with grow stones they dont float when you water like the perlite. try a few different thing and find what works best for your set up. everyone seems to have a little alterd way of things good luck ninja

The perlite content probably isn't the reason your soil is taking longer to dry out. I actually haven't been adding any perlite to my FFOF mixture lately and my soil dries out in about 24 hours. You simply need to either water less, and/or lower humidity and increase air flow.

Its not as big of a transition as u think to coco. I use ph perfect sensi frrom advanced which i dnt really care for as far as nutes go and i just mix and water and i get a gram per watt with 830 watts of LED. I've been growing for 3 yrs now so i dnt mean to make it sound so ez but when u get ur first run under ur belt its really not that much different from soil.
