Ben, I practically grew up in SoCal, and it's where my folks and oldest son still live. Southeast L.A./North Orange county. Also lived in San Diego for a few years (loved that place). You know any of those areas? SoCal is a big place.

I live right outside Seal Beach myself.
I have a lot of friends through all of Cali... I've been, everywhere.

From Humboldt county to San Diego and inland as well.

I go to Tustin a lot as well as LA. So yeah, I know my California. ;)

I've only lived up north here (Sierra, south of Tahoe) for a few years, still getting to know this area. :)

Nice place. Not too far from Reno. Loose any money yet? =D

I don't gamble, I spent it all on my scoot.

Further south than that, Reno's hours away for us now, past Carson Pass, past the Carson Spur.

If you ski, you may know of Kirkwood. It's where everyone from Tahoe goes. Do I ski? Well, I did, once. I fall much better.

Snowboarder myself. I stick to my local ski locations (big bear, fuck mt. high) with exception to going to Mammoth a few years back.

Hey! My oldest son practically LIVES to board. I should get you guys together (plus, he's got family in BB and Arrowhead on his dad's side). He's schooling his mom on growing, she's schooling him on organic. :D

Here, practically in our backyard (about 45 minutes from home).
Kirkwood Mountain Resort - Summer

Couple years ago one of his friends went off trail, ended up having to be rescued off the backside of the mountain. Kid went and dug himself a snow cave (smart), slept for about an hour then decided to go on walkabout (stupid). He's lucky he didn't end up in Caples Lake.

Gotta be easy with those backside trails ;). Glad to hear he's ok, though.

That mountain looks like heaven... 8D

Why do you think the Tahoe-heads go there instead of Sierra at Tahoe, Heavenly, or any of the others around the lake? ;)

I'm gonna have to make a trip up there this winter. I missed last season, and I'm hankerin' for some fresh powder. 8D

Last two winters haven't been very good for snowfall or snow pack. I'm hoping this year is better, the reservoirs need the water big time. Some look to be down by 100' at least.

Hooray for global warming...
Well I'm thinking as the glass being half full... The less snow, the more dirt. The more dirt, the more places to go riding.

:D

Riding what? My bike isn't exactly for dirt, and we sold off all the quads. Ever hear of Pi Pi Valley?

Dirtbikes. I'm a two wheel guy... After I stopped riding, I sold the bike and now I'm on street.

Nothing like an SV650 for a nice dirt replacement, eh?
Considering getting another dirtbike... I miss it.
