yea I feel you man. I use the term "chronic" to encompass all top shelf weed, "AZ" for mid grade, and "stress" for low grade or mexican brick. But under those labels the strain always comes first. For example, I could have some bomb Sour Diesel, if someone asks me what it is thats what ill tell them. But ill also refer to it as chronic in a general term..

Our pot comes from cali lol. Either from cali or a personal grow (indoors mostly but sometimes outdoors).

The person you smoked out was probably used to smoking brick which is common in Texas due to all the drug trafficking that goes on over here.

I find other things much more annoying.
Like the want to be drug dealers who come up with the dumbest names for their product.
For example, "Exodus Grape Kush haze" I don't know why but the guy was trying to pass of mids with some whack name.
So maybe the kids who call it kush or ___________ and with a kush at the end are told so and are dumb enough to believe it from their dealers!

I'm guilty of making up names.
Alot of times in states where it's illegal, people lose track of strain names. When I get a dank strain that lost its name in its journey, I come up with a new one. I take time to actually think of a decent name A name that describes it's high.. sometimes I throw in cousin or brother like saying "I call this purple lock since it's the cousin of purple flow.. It's a made up name".

Like you probably guessed from my quote, I let people know that it's a made up name.

It's like a hobby and not a sales propaganda.
