Thought for sure it was gonna be the jeans!Sister got wiped out in a ski-lift line by a transplanted Texan. She said you could always tell them apart from the Cali transplants due to the bandanna.
i've seen a few "trump skis in jeans" stickers on lift towers. lol.Thought for sure it was gonna be the jeans!
i'm just echoing what the mayor (now ex mayor) of colorado city, texas said. "the people deserve nothing..."
that's socialism according to republicans. the mayor even has a little anti socialism blast in his FB post.I have to disagree. The people built everything in this country, which includes infrastructure. The people deserve to get what we've worked and paid for.

don't shoot the messenger but that's the mindset of most texans.
Dallas, TX: right now: 28 F, low tonight: 20 F = disasterless of those a'holes moving to colorado is fine by me.
Yes looking at the temps it doesn't seem that bad specially if you have grown up with actual cold winters. I'm sure for the homeless people living there it is a serious situation. Guessing very few have the equipment for winter camping. Nothing worse than when cold sets in and you can't find a place to warm up. I applaud the man for doing what he did and hope others there follow his lead and help other folks out where they can..Dallas, TX: right now: 28 F, low tonight: 20 F = disaster
Houston, TX: right now: 35 F, low tonight: 30 F = disaster
Denver, CO: right now: 26 F, low tonight: 16 F = kind of nice outside. We are doing fine.
IDK, man, but I think some people in TX might look at the situation in CO and decide to move there.
@farmingfisherman , I'm having difficulty being sympathetic to the people of TX right now. It's not right. But as they would say in TX, "you made your bed, now sleep in it." It's too late to address the systemic failures in TX that led to the problem. It's now up to ad hoc actions like that hero in Houston and while I applaud his effort, it's not enough. I'd do what I could to take care of mine. But it's not enough for the community. So, what are the leaders in that state doing right now? Are they mobilizing help or are they blaming the very people who elected them for being left out in the cold?
There needs to be an 'agree' button, not 'like' for posts with which I agree. Cuz I don't like people freezing to death. Just sayin'I’ve spent some time in the Dallas/FW area and met some great people.
People dying in the cold is sad
I'd say that Texans need to start respecting others.Yes looking at the temps it doesn't seem that bad specially if you have grown up with actual cold winters. Last thing, this is the United States, people are free to live wherever they choose. I love my country and try to do my part to make it a better place. We are a damaged country which needs to learn, respect and care for each other again..

Maybe we could get a “I pretty much agree” button.I pretty much agree lol ^^^^
They don't even know what socialism is. Fact is, they love it and live it every single day.Oh man, I hate that socialism argument.

The military they "love and respect"? Socialism.
The aid they get after a hurricane or tornado? Socialism.
The interstate highway system? Socialism.
The public school system they send their kids to every day and scream out loud to "open up now"? Socialism.
The Police? The Fire Department? The Coast Guard? All those guys and gals that save their ass? Socialism.
Medicare? Medicaid? Socialism.
Fact is, they absolutely love socialism when it is they who are receiving it. It's just that thought that anybody else can share in it that they can't stand because they're all self absorbed pricks.
