so i had 3 girls.

#3 took 11-12 wks barely any amber trics, lots of white hairs upon harvest but very Crystally. did not keep because of the time it took and lack of density.
#2 was dense and good yeild little less crystaly, harvestd at 8wks, but i lost the clones
#1 finished earliest like 7.5-8 wks. very dense. lower yeild. kept this pheno going.


so i had #1 tested and showed < 1% CBD. my friend did it with the same test kit that shows the blotches.

i am going to have it retested by a pro lab.

did i pick the wrong pheno?
could a pheno of this strain have that low of a CBD%?

i prob should of had them tested before i chose, but the difficulty of this strain to root for me choose for me this time.

could you upload a picture of your test results, you used gas chromatography ? Thanks I have a couple Pennies going as well and will test them with the GrowBuddy. I just ordered the GrowBuddy I am looking forward to test that as well...

so here is a copy of my Pennywise that i kept. 0% CBD
how can this one pheno have NO CBD?

i guess i am not keeping her. what a bummer. guess i shoulda had them all tested before i choose.

Kinda bummed my first attempt at a high CBD strain.

That's sucks. It seems to be a common occurrence with pennywise lately. Maybe they did something different with latest batch of seeds. I don't know. Its a little discouraging. I want that strain for the supposed 13% cbd. Now I'm not sure. Resin seeds and reggae seeds have some good cbd strains.... Might be other options there

Wow thats a bummer. 0% cbd?? Thats crazy......hemp has more cbd than that lol....probally not :)

That's a bummer on no cbd. I'm guessing that maybe its just hard to get a harlequin leaning pheno out of pennywise. Out of my 5 seeds, 3 are all jtr and sativa looking, ones super short and stocky, and one is kinda in the middle. Are you going to try again for another high cbd pheno?

not anytime soon. i just lost faith in Pennywise. gonna seek out a different strain/breeder for CBD

sucks because i have patients with cancer that really need high CBD RSO and i got 0 for them.

the one above was more indica, short, not much stretch, very dense and quick. all traits i thought were Harlequin dom.

i am going to have her sister tested soon. i only got 2 oz from her and i make some RSO with the entire plant. but lost the clones. ended up with 4.5 cc of Oil from her.

THCA will convert to THC with heat, so more or less the same thing as THC... THCV is different though.

I am waiting for a few things in the mail and I will be testing one of my pennywise, I highly doubt it will be rich in CBD too but we'll see. It's too bad because I got rid of my CBD SHARK cutting which I know for sure had some CBD in it... because I thought I was golden with Pennywise...

Anyway I did use a male pennywise on a Senora Ampero, I might get lucky with those seeds...

It would be nice to see other people sharing their results with pennywise, on tga website, they claim that 70% of the female will have the 1:1 THC CBD ratio . Anyway, if none of my 2 females show any CBD on my testing I will move on to a new strain, and a new breeder.

I ll report back within a week with the results.

Shoots, the one I was favoring has the traits you mentioned. I'll just have to give them all a chance and decide after. I did this last two times running from seed too, I'll like one more while in flower, but once finished I ended up liking the other one more.

I've been wanting to make RSO for a while know, but I always end up making bubble hash with the trim and smoking all my flowers. How is it? My friend just made a few vials worth of RSO and has been in full on zombie mode for the past two weeks. I think he's just dosing himself way to heavily though, because he normally has a high tolerance to herb.

I am getting the two sisters tested this week, so i will see what the results are of 3 phenos

once again, i love some of TGA strains and i love his passion for dank. but this is another incident where i really wish he would back cross and select the phenotypes that generate the characteristics he wants to sell in the plants. instead of pollen chucking and saying there are several phenos you choose which one you like.
i really dont like wasting 50$ on a pack of seeds, getting 1-3 females and all of them having some Undesirable traits.

My 3D was the only strain i got more than one female that were similar in traits. although i did not keep her because of low hash production and lower thc % then i wanted. My Mickys Kush looks almost nothing like the pics, but i only got one girl so i kept her going, on 3rd round now. tests coming soon. and my Timewreck is pretty good, nice producer, very bushy, but thin weak stems dont hold buds past week 6 even with silica and fans. testing soon. debating on keeping her. so many strains to try.

Sub, if you do read this, please do some Backcrossing. or sell 10 packs for 50$ retail so we have a better chance of getting the same genetics you show on your site and talk about. If we have to do half the work searching then the price should be cut in half. Just my .02

i feel like i am constantly pheno searching and then tossing a strain because it didnt match the quality/characteristics i was shown/wanted when purchased. its almost false advertising.

They should be ten bucks for a five pack. Your basicly doing the work sub should have done already.

so i tested #2 and #3

both had 1:1 ratio
wish i would have not lost #2

#3 the mostly sativa, didnt finish well but had the highest CBD about 13%

lesson learned test before picking
think i am gonna buy a test kit

i just never woulda thought that one pheno would have 0% Cbd and 20% thc. assumed they would all be close to 1:1
