will doctors prescribe medical marijuana to pediatric patients with illnesses such as sclerosis, cebral palsy, cancer, etc? or do you guys think it would interfere with growth/development of the nervous system?

I have some great articles in Treating Yourself on it helping kids with certain conditions such as the ones you have listed and many more. The families of these patients have been very happy with some of the life changing results. We know its way better than pills in most cases but I dont see any medical board supporting this because they are all fucking hypocrites and pussies who hide behind their perceived power. Posers. I dont see it interfering with any growth and development but thats not my specialty.

They are so fast to shove DRUGS at kids for ADD/ADHD, Learning disabilities etc.. but won't stand-up for the kids who really NEED and would greatly BENEFIT from the use of oils/tinctures-- because our Government has threatened the entire Medical Community... they lose Hospital Privileges if they work with Medical Marijuana...period.

Like any psychoactive drug, pot can alter how the mind develops, and there may be some physical developmental changes as well, at least in anyone under the age of 26-27 (this is when the last twinges of puberty and mental development are done). As such, it is very unwise to give pot to any minor for recreational effects.

That said, for a child with those conditions, the drugs that would otherwise be used instead of weed are very very harmful to a childs development. Because of this, a very many doctors will prescribe children marijuana for those disorders. And why not? Amphetamines are being given to children aged 5 now. Excuse me, did I say the generic "amphetamines"? That should be "Adderall" - because when the pharmaceutical company makes it, its not dangerous drugs

Please dont take this as sound medical advise; these are just observations I've made. Only your doctor can inform you when medical marijuana is right for you or your child, and every patient is different.

I agree with all of you. I have had my own personal experience. I was diagnosed with that BS ADD/ADHD gravy boat when i was about 11 years old. Since when is a kid that has a lot of energy a disorder? They gave me all kinds of different shit at different strengths. adderall, concerta, and ritalin to name a few. All of them gave me ticks and in my opinion the medicine didn't really even calm me down. It mad me feel weird as shit and made me an anti-social Eeyore that never ate. I stopped taking the medications at about age 15. To this day I still have a lingering side effect of these ticks and have some intense anxiety.

When i was about 14 a buddy got me to try some cannabis. Fucking calmed me right down and I could concentrate on things like I was never able to do before. I eventually persuaded my parents to make me stop taking the shit, something I was trying since they put me on it. Long story short, i can honestly say that cannabis was the only thing that did actually help me with my "ADHD" (if that shit even exists) and it sure does help with my anxiety and rare ticks.

Fuck pharmaceuticals man along with the FDA. Maybe i should sue the shit out of them for the long term effects it has caused me.
