Peach Fermented Fruit Extract

Hey Y’all

I got a hold of a bunch of over ripe organic peaches and decided to make a ferment. Build a soil used to sell a peach ferment, so having the materials I made one. I also added 2tbsn of LaB to it. It’s been going for 2-3 weeks, I have stirred it twice, it’s just taking forever for the mold to grow on top. How long do you ferment your peaches? I’ve fermented bananas for like 6 months (on accident, life was incredibly busy, but it was still good) and 3 weeks. When do you determine when it’s finished?

Is that why the Caliganic bros think curing is a myth? Everything's been altered with their fruit juice teas? Shit does not smoke good in my experience. Maybe there's a right way but I'd rather let the plant make its own acids and sugars, lest the dank be contaminated and end up smoking like fruit cocktail.

You know I really haven’t read enough about it. A simple google search lended me a couple No’s ( from gardening sites) the Yay’s were from cannabis growers.

Sugar molecules r usually too large to enter roots. The sweetness must be the plant own sugars it produces due to the ffj. Is my best guess. Also notice a more sweeter terpy finished product. In a good way.

How often do you feed the FFJ? Every watering, once a week, once a month? And what ratio to say a gallon?
oop.... just saw your post above ....thanks! half ounce a gallon once a week... check!

I have nothing to add. But am interested in what replies you get because I just bought the peach ferment and wouldn’t mind making my own.
It's easy to make, I made some banana and pumpkin Fermented Juice just for shits, and results are good from the very little I've used it. I feel it's the same thing as if you used Black Strap Molasses, only with the fruit mixes you can pick and choose what you want. For me the pumpkin juice is for the first 4 weeks of flower (phosphorus) and the banana juice is for the last 4 weeks (or so) of flowering (potassium).

From what I've read, the ferments stimulate microbial life, and microbes stimulate terpenes, or at least the pre-cursors that the plant needs to make its own terpenes.

Word.

I'm growing in a diverse living soil, microbes from all sorts of different sources. I used a banana and prickly pear cactus ferment during flowering.

Every plant smelled sweet and fruity in the bud, regardless of the strain. That returned after a good slow 3 month cure.

Recent studies seem to be finding that the nature and quality of the high is not just the THC or the cannabinoid profile ... terpenes add to the stone and not only the flavour.

“Beyond the common form of cannabis that pervades the markets with its high THC and high myrcene, productive of a soporific ‘couch-lock’ experience, other terpenoids, when present in appropriate concentrations, may alter the experience positively to increase the therapeutic index of cannabis by reducing its side effect profile,” Russo says. “Thus, pinene can reduce or eliminate short-term memory impairment engendered by THC, limonene can elevate mood with an antidepressant effect, linalool will allay anxiety, and caryophyllene boosts analgesic and anti-inflammatory benefits while simultaneously reducing craving that is associated with withdrawal symptoms from opioids and other drugs producing dependency.”

It would be awesome to have a list of strains that are heavily concentrated in the said terpene profile. Caryophyllene for example...

Some strains with a higher-than-average amount of caryophyllene include:

GSC
Bubba Kush
Sour Diesel
Chemdog
Candyland
Death Star
Original Glue
Cookies and Cream
Gelato
The White
Master Kush

I just took one paragraph out of that article. It's a good read in full.

While it doesn't cut to the chase and list the strains, it details which terpenes promotes which effects.

For example, terpenes which modulate anxiety will be important in medicinal use. Not everyone is smoking to get totally baked and recreationally wasted, as fun as that can be. Many people are now smoking to help with ailments, or life issues, and they still want to be functional as they go about their day.
