yeh, ima try and go hydro unless its harder than it seems, I made the tray to fit into that icebucket and have the jiffy starter plugs and some aquarium gravel ima fill the rest of the tray wit to keep the light out and serve as some kinda anchorage, do you think it'll work? I have an airstone dividing the botom of the ice bucket into two triangles and its one of those air curtain things which I broke so that it fits in there perfectly. The only thing is, I've yet to get nutes or a ppm meter or pH testers, like I said earlier I was thinkin of goin wit advanced nutrients but the 3 part formula is like $30 and then the ppm meter is $30 and pH strips like $5 so it kinda adds up... or i coulda just went and bought soil and flowring nutes with the money i used on the air stone and pump and gravel and been done with it.
anyone know if hydro is worth the pain? they are supposed to grow at an accelerated rate right?
