PC Grow Box tips?

Hey guys next year I', leaving for university and gonna move into an apartment with my friend and we figured it would be more cost effective if we just grow our own bud, but the problem is we will have room service once every week so we cant leave the plants in the open so a grow box seems like the way to go.

We both have empty PC boxes
We still need to buy lights (please name the kind of lights we will need)
And we need to somehow get a fan in there and keep it powered. (Where can we buy a small wall powered fan?)

I think we were kinda stupid to just bust every part out of the PC forgetting that the fan might be used again (both broken now:wall:)

We're on a bit of a budget so we need to get hold of the cheapest equipment!

And where is the wiring going to run? (hopefully at the back of the pc into the power)

Thanks in advance

you will not got enough from a pc box to make it worth it imo. my last grow was in a old dresser with 400 actual watts of cfl 100% stealth still looks like a working dresser.

The best tip i can give you about pc growing is not to do a pc grow.

Anything is better. Something wooden will be much easier to work with
with regards to setting up the lights and light proofing.

I spent ages converting my computer desk into a stealth grow box
then more time setting up the lights, mylar and fans.
It used to be the place where the computer sat
with no door.

I only grew in there for a month before i moved my plant into
the closet. I was planning on doing all the vegging in this cabinet before moving it under my HPS
but even though i only had 4x 23w cfl lights i still had heat issues, it was nearly root bound,
and had slow growth due to weak computer fans not replacing the air
enough. It works, but it's stressful and a pc case will be 10x worse.
