Get a plate
Lay a piece of paper towel on the plate, dampin the paper towel with water but dont soak it.
Place the seeds on the damp paper towel, put water on the seeds.
place another damp paper towel over the seeds
Place saran wrap over the plate maing it somewhat air tight to keep the moister in.
Set the plate in a dark warm closet for 12-24 hrs

Works every single time for me.

Day 19

Well looks like the topping is starting to pay off, both plants seem to be out of "shock" and are looking better and better. They will get some more food in a few days before I switch them over to 12/12.

Tomorrow im going to take it down to 20/4 then 18/6, and eventually 12/12.

Starting to get the hang of this, learning a lot about plants in general from this whole process, kinda makes me wanna grow something else

Anyway enjoy the photos, If I could upload HD shots I would. You can smell the OG up close to it now, can barely smell the PE and thats by sticking my face in it lol.

This is what I do, but since I have no saran wrap, I just use a plastic bag with the container lid on top. Your plants are looking sweet btw. Good job, man. AND I LOVE YOUR POTS! :bigjoint:

Hell yea , had to rep Scooby and the gang. However I can see roots at the bottom starting to poke out might need to transplant but at this point I would need two grow cases. I have the scrog screen in just a bit above where the canopy is now. Ill flip to 12/12 Wednesday night, then I guess thats where the fun starts...

Day 21

Ok so I decided to do this update because tonight im going to set them to 12/12 to start the flowering process. I wanted to get some expert opinions on if I (A) Have spider mites or (B) Nute burn , deficiency etc. In one of the pictures you can see that the pineapple express top was done perfectly and has provided me with two main colas. Now for the OG top you can clearly see that it was done incorrectly and well nothing has grown from it, but the rest of the plant is growing really fast. I put the screen in when I though the plants where low and they ended up stretching over night on me. I might be flowering them a bit early but I have to at this point. (I cant imagine how this is going to look once they start the stretching flowering, I might need to tie down the screen). Overall I don't want this to be a failed experiment, its a learning experience. Let me know what you guys think.

Almost forgot , they smell now, both plants do. Ordered a ONA block and making a carbon filter for the case tonight. The closer you get to the case the more obvious the smell is lol :lol:

Went ahead and swapped out the lights for 2700K for the red spectrum , hopefully in 7 days we will know if they are males or females (fingers crossed for females)

Looks VERY good slective, Im looking at your pics and your leaves look very healthy to me, I dont consider myself an expert but im sure you dont have spider mites...they leave a different kind of spot. tips of the leaves MAY be nute burn, or just from your lights but either way its not anything to worry about. THEY LOOK SUPER HEALTHY TO ME!

Naw, just make sure you cut the remaining stem of it off at the base at a 45 degree angle

Thank you! I tried bending some of the leaves on the PE so the new growth can get some light. I'll post a pic when I get back from class but the OG is looking really good and lucky me I broke it off at 45 degree angle lol. They are starting to drink a lot faster now, I'm almost 100% certain they are about pot bound so floqering them at the time I did was a good choice.

Id like some advice on the pineapple express, the damn thing is so short you cant really do anything to it. Do I just let it grow into the screen during the stretch ?

Day 28 (7 of Flowering)

OG Kush
Not sure if its a Male or Female yet but its growing well. Not sure if I should trim these fan leave to get light to the to the bud sites. Maybe an expert can chime in on that.

Pineapple Express
Cant figure this thing out, doesn't look like its growing anymore would really like some more input from an expert about this plant. Its really short and bushy. Doesn't look like much light is getting through to the bud sites.

After doing this grow I have realized that lighting makes all the difference in the way things turn out. So with that in mind I don't see my self doing another PC grow. After this is done I'm definitely building a larger growing area with either HPS or LED to get me going. This however is great cost effective learning experience. Definitely a nice veg box for clones when I do move on to something better.

Well no one seems to provide much input so I went ahead and super cropped the Pineapple Express to get some light through, worked great, got some stretch out of the bitch. Still no signs of sex yet. (Or maybe my eye sight is getting bad...)

Day 32

Did some lite trimming on both plants still no sign of sex yet. Will update in another 7 days. Added something to tone down the smell..... as well.
