PC Case, First Grow, White Widow

Hi All,

This is my first grow.
I am only trying to grow one plant.

I bought the following items and I built my own PC grow box.

1 65w CFL 6500k, 4k lumens (works out about 5k/sqf)
2 PC fans
Mylar
Miracle Grow All Purpose Compost
Feminized White Widow Seeds

I put the seed to germinate on the 7th and I planted it on the 9th.
The temperature in the box near the plant is 26-29C with the light on.
At the moment I have the light on 24/7.

Any comments, advice?

My girl doesn't seem to be growing fast at all. Its been almost the same height for 2-3 days now. Is this normal at this stage?
The leaves look green and healthy as far as I can tell.
Should I water it using deionized water or bottled water?
Should I turn the light off for few hours a day?

Hey about your question about water:
You can use purified water
If you want to use water from the tap, let it sit out a few days before using it so that the chlorine and other crap evaporates.

try a better potting soil mix, your baby is probably spending a lot of energy trying to get it's roots through that stuff, rather than using it to grow, here, try this, it's been working f***in' awesome for me!

40% composted soil
30% worm castings
20% perlite
10% dolomite,

I was thinking of buying some nutrients today?
Is it too early?

I found one NPK: 28-8-16 will that be fine for now?

As for the water.. I have been using tap water so far and it is very hard. Should I buy some purified water and just flush it with that? There are plenty of holes under the pot to drain.

I don't think it's ever too early just be careful not to over fertilize.

10 days from seed. 8 since planted.

My girl is looking green and healthy.
I start feeding her some nutrients 2 days ago which seem to have accelerated the growth.
I am using 24-8-16 nuts.

Here are some new photos of her.
Do you think she is too close to the lamp? The lamp is hot but I can actually touch it.

Hey man, what kind of soil are you using? Miracle Grow All Purpose Compost? I'm not sure if that has nutes already in it, but if it does then don't feed. You will burn the shit out of your plants lol

I am only using the nuts once a week. I water every two days so far so it is only one in 3 times.
The compost has plant food but it doesn't say what exactly.

Today I replanted my girl to a larger pot. I am not planning on using anything bigger later.
I also started the LST.
Do you guys think that I should top the plant?
I want to make use of all the space in the computer. When should I start the 12/12 light cycle?

nice homie, real nice! SUBD UP! just a quick question...u said u gave her nutes b4 she was on her 3rd node? and it didnt burn her or anything? WOW....what was the strength of the dose u gave her of the nutes?

Since it is 15 days since she sprouted and everything is going along nicely, you can switch to 12/12 whenever...but the sooner the better because you are working in a pc case and space is very limited! but after 2-3 weeks of veg for a pc case is normal....just be careful, but its ur call homie!

The nuts are 24-8-16.
I have been using half the recommended amount. The soil has some nuts on it but it is from the same make and they recommend to use them together.

damn thas crazy! from my knowledge you arnt supposed to give seedlings nutes until they reach their third node...but as i can see this may not be the full truth.

I gave up on the LST. I dont think there is enough space in the pc to do it properly.

I am going to try SCROG now.
I made a screen using wire and I topped the plan. Not sure if I ve done it properly but I guess I ll find out in a couple of days.
