Paxs' First Grow. 150w Cabinet

So decided to grow some ganga. Just some bag seed that came out of some tasty bud. Made the box out of the dresser. 150w Hps for light (yes I know HPS is not choice for vegging). I threw up some mylar and put a few fans in, calling it good for a little while.
I'm going to try and keep them small using LST or some other form of training. Growing 3 plants right now, hopefully get a couple girls.

Any questions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Should I have the plants closer to the light?

yeah definitely man. i have my plants 10 inches away from the light. its been about 2 weeks now with 3 plants and an HPS. works very well and it doesnt burn the plants. nice job though, everything looks nice. whats the temperature like inside the cabinet though?

My temps stay around 78 to 80 with the light on. I have a pretty good intake and exhaust. Nothing super just a couple high CFM computer fans. But they seem to work well along with the circulating fans in the box.

I'll have to try and get them closer. I was just afraid of burning them

150watt hps is fine. When they get bigger you might have to add some extra light though. I love marijuana and the hole growing process. It's like growing money on trees. I'll keep watching the thread.

Everything is still pretty much the same. They are a little taller and the 3rd has come through the soil.

Sorry been a little busy. Everyone is out, although one came out with only one leaf and is not really doing much. But no harm in leaving it to see.
Today is day four I suppose. I thought they would have been bigger by now?

Nope, they look just right for being 4 days old. That one that only has one leaf will probably be stunted. It will eventually take off and grow normally bu it will not catch up to the rest. You can either pull it and drop a new seed in its place or leave it. Either way it probably won't catch up to the rest of them. It should still produce bud just fine though.

Thanks, I'm just going to leave it and see what happens. I'm kinda interested to see how long it will take before it starts growing normal.
Ive also added a couple 26watt CFL's in the 6500K range to add a little extra light. See how that goes

So day 11. I added a couple 23 watt 6000k cfl's to help even out the color temp. the plants aren't really growing up they are just kinda staying stumpy which I guess is good given my height restrictions. I had a problem with heat for a couple days but everything is fine now. The one leafed one looks exactly the same as it did. So still waiting to see if it will actually grow. Vesper looks pretty strange. A couple of her leaves are growing sideways. I think it was from the heat though. They were at 92 degrees for a day and 86 the next. now I have the temps steady at 78.
1- Grow Chest, 2-3 Vesper, 4-5 Belle, 6 ?... Vesper and Belle are both just under 3in. tall. Any feedback would be great

Also is it too early to start giving them nutes?

I'd wait until they are three weeks or more. The soil has plenty of nutes to keep them going until then and it is easy to hurt them when they are so young.

Then little one with one leaf died last night. Not really sure why. Maybe it just decided to give up on life

They are now 2 1/2 weeks old. I started LST yesterday. Everything seems to be going ok. I've had a few little problems, but everything is working out. They are still in the cabinet, they look better for pictures in the sun though

I re-potted them today into one gallon pots. I used some erthgro soil. Its nutrientless & organic. I added some vermeculite & perlite to it. They already seem to love it. Ill post pics later tonight.

I am definitely interested in following your grow. I'll be using a 150w HPS for my 3rd grow and don't plan on adding any CFL's. First 2 grows were with a 400w MH/HPS. So I have some learning to do. Definitely going to LST to maximize yield. Anyways, I'll be subscribing to this thread! Best of luck.
