The vegas ones.

Cool items. I like seeing how those items are worth a few benjamins to the thousands. Plus it has some comedy to it

I worked as a buyer in a pawn shop for a decent amount of time... you wanna make some serious cash open a buy and sell.

There is huge money to be made in used goods.

I still buy and sell on the side, the negotiation skills I perfected make me money hand over fist and save even more everyday.

Not a business for everyone alot of druggies and aholes come around so you have to be tough enough not to be intimidated

Great show. One thing thats pissed me off recently is the way theyve been trying to sneak promoting subway into the actual show itself. I dont mind subway commercials or saying pawn stars is sponsored by them but when they are eating subway its pretty obvious its scripted lines they are saying. its also disheatening to me b/c it makes me wonder just how much of the show is real and whats scripted. I dont want to ruin the show for myself so i try to ignore wondering that. lol.(another part that adds to it is how on the previews and shit like that when you watch later on in the show you find the scenes dialogue was edited to say something more dramatic.(like they make it sound like the experts saying/hinting its fake on the preview or something like that)
So, my favorite items. in no paticular order. I'd love people to share their favorites as well.
The tarantula brooch-That thing was cool and the ladies surprise at ricks offer seemed genuine to me.
The stretch snake toy head- I was amazed at how much that little thing was worth.
The shelby cobra body- That guy hit the jackpot finding it and even got paid for finding it and taking it. How awesome would that be? lol
The ivory sun dial- What an incredible item in incredible shape, it even had that part that usually falls out and is lost.
The book owned by isaac newton- I was really hoping that it was his writing inside the book as well but either way it was cool as hell.
The lotto ticket signed by george washington-Again the shape it was in is what impressed me.
That scaled down training cannon that guy found at a yardsale- I hope i can get that lucky someday.
Their are alot more i really like but im tired of writing for the moment.

I always wonder too about shows being scripted. I know alot of the shows on truetv are scripted. forget the name of the show but the one with the bald undercover guy is fuckin' hilarious. they did a pot bust and you could tell the plants was fake, lol.

pawn stars rape people fuck em over LOL i think its kind of funny
I always think they are paying more than a normal pawn shop would.
My favorite thing about the show is thinking about how Chum Lee is in Vegas and famous and how he must get to bang chicks because he is on the show, isn't that great Chum Lee is boning chicks.

They get some cool shit, but I really think everyone working there is just a greedy prick. As much as I dig rare vintage stuff the show just annoys me. Same for the pickers. They're doing it because they know there's money in it for them.

Awesome show! Just watched the one with Pawn Stars leads into American Pickers then Rick's Restoration. All to get a car for the Old Man's 70th birthday. I'd love to have that car! It was like a $70,000 restoration or something like that...

Kind of sounds like the description of a job to me...
I think they do enjoy their jobs and the items they see to some extent as well, but in the end it is about making money.

I saw that one! Absolutely beautiful car!!! Really, really pricey job though, $70,000 to restore a car!? Both my cars combined isn't even worth half that!

Yea it's cool to see how much they make, IMO the money they make is nothing compared to the time and labor they put into it... They are hard workers... at least from what I can see from a cameras point of view...
