Passive air intake possible light leak issue?

My veg tent is really starting to stink so I shortened my ducting in my flower tent and used what I took out to connect the veg tent. There’s a minimal amount of light that you can see looking straight into the duct. I also put some dryer sheets in there for smell and to block out a little light. Anyone think this is gonna be a problem?

Is the inside of the ducting black. If it was I would not be too concerned. Mind you a trip to a fabric store for some black felt or other dark material might be worth it for the piece of mind.

I didn’t think of making the inside of the ducting non reflective. Good thinking. I was just going to tape a box to it and cut holes in the sides of the box since the light won’t bounce off that many corners.

Hey @Macncheesehaze! I just joined the forum and here's my first post. I've started my first grow and have my tent mostly setup now. I'm also doing passive air intake and have been looking at carbon pad pre-filters. The Amazon link below is the one I'm thinking of purchasing. It will prevent dust and spores from getting in and likely prevent light and smell from leaking. I was thinking of Gorilla taping it on one of 3 bottom vents on my tent.

Hey again.... I just thought of another idea. A backdraft damper could prevent air and light leaks when the inline fan is off (example below).

Get those damn dryer sheets out of there. They'll make your weed taste like crap.

Yeah I definitely don’t want that. The entire reason I grow the glue is because it doesn’t need any special treatment to taste good after harvest. It’s just gas out the gate. Dryer sheets gone and the light leak is fixed with black felt.
