Party Cup Grow and Autoflowering Grow

Here are the most recent pics of my party cup grow.

Romulan #1, i began feeding it with 1 tbsp per gallon of molasses tonight. Im going to feed it molasses until i can harvest it. its going on its 5th node

Romulan #3. I topped it yesterday and it seems to have made a quick recovery.

So i checked my plants last night and to my surprise my #3 romlan plant had developed pollen sacks. He was just over 3 weeks old

Thanks man. Im also interested to see how the autos grow. Its the first time im growing them. Last night all of them began showing preflowers. Theyre 29 days old. Maybe another 40 days and theyll be good to go. I'll post some more pictures soon

So its been 8days since i last updated this journal. A few things have changed. On Jan. 18th all of my auto-flowering plants showed preflowers. These pictures are from their 6th day of flowering. Also, I had to transplant two of my party cup plants. All of my plants are doing well though.

Here are my russian rocket fuel plants
RRF #1, on Jan. 19 she was 14 inches, she is now 20 inches


RRF #3, she was 8 and a half inches on the 19th, she is now 12 inches


RRF#4, she was 7 inches on the 19th, she is now 9 inches


RRF #5, she was 12 inches, she is now over 17 inches



Here are my party cup plants, which i now only have one of.
#1, its roots were getting root bound so i transplanted her on the 22nd but I transplanted her too late and her fan leaves died. I cut them off and here's what she looks like. I hope she respond well


#2, i transplanted it on the 20th and it responded very well to the bigger container. its 6 inches and on the 7th node. i think im going to top it tonight


#3, on the 18th he showed male sex so i chopped him down

#4, The only party cup plant remaining. its going on the 4th node


#5, its 7 inches and going on the 8th node. its looking really good.

To answer your second question, i use the second cup to hold the drainage water. I also use it to help block any light that might reach the roots. And its working because all my roots are white as can be. I think the roots are coming out of the bottom like that because of the soil im using, which is fox farms ocean forest. All my party cup plants look like that. Even my smallest party cup plant is beginning to show roots at the bottom and its hardly on it second leaf set.

so what do you put in that second cup - to make sure that a 1/2" of space (or however big) is left for the drainage and roots?

because i just put my party cup plant into another party cup and it just fit completely in there. no space in between. right now i just have a small piece of wood in there. but i was wondering what you use to create that space?

haha sorry if this seems too specific i'm just interested.

dont trip dude im glad your interested in the way i do it. So i use two different size cups. the plant is in the 16 oz cup. I have other party cups that are smaller than the 16oz cups. When i put the bigger cup in the smaller cup, it creates that space.

When i water my plants the water drains into the bottom and the roots of the plants reach for it. The stems on my plants are thick as hell and my roots are very developed. In the pictures i posted earlier of the plant that i transplanted you can see how developed the roots are. The roots were coming out of the bottom of the cups in the beginning of the second week of veg growth. My plants look very healthy and developed.

In the future im just gonna grow them in the party cups like i have them now and then transplant them into bigger pots. Im gonna grow outdoors in the summer again and i cant wait to see how the plants respond to a transplant from a party cup like i have into a 5 gallon container.

im not flowering it just showed pre sex hairs. its over 4 weeks old and has been on an 18/6 schedule since it popped up. im not sure why it showed sex so early. its weird. but its funny because earlier today i was reading about marijuana botany in "An Advanced Study: The Propagation and Breeding of Distinctive Cannabis" by Robert Connell Clarke and i happened to come across a method of pruning called 'leafing' which is described in ch.2. basically he states that some cannabis cultivators believe that inhibitors of flowering are stored in the older leaves formed during vegging and when these leaves are removed the plant will proceed to flower. So i think this may be the reason she has shown hairs so early and during veg because i cut off all her fan leaves and then 3 dys later she showed her hairs. Here's the link to clarke's essay

Its been six days since i last updated. My plants are looking good. The auto flowering russian rocket fuels are 40 days old. they have been flowering for 12 days now. ive been feeding them with fox farm tiger bloom.

RRF #1, she is 23 inches tall.


RR#3, she is over 12 inches tall


RRF#4, she is over 9 inches tall


RRF#5, she is 22 and a half inches tall



Here are some pictures of my former party cup plants and my sole party cup. They're around a week younger than my autoflowering plants.

#1, she is on her 8th node and is 7 and a half inches tall. but she is not showing any new growth. im going to put her into flowering on the first of feb.


#2, she was topped at her 6th node and is 9 inches tall.


#4, she is on her 6th node and is 3 and half inches tall.


#5, she was topped at the 6th node, and is 9 inches tall.


I was thinking of putting both my #2 and #5 into flowering along with my #1 plant. Their new growth at their topping isnt too big though. Im concerned that their new colas arent going to get as big if i put them into flowering on monday. If i put them into flowering monday, how big can i expect each of their new colas to get?

Oh, and today i opened the box to look at the plants and i noticed that my mystery seed #5 showed female sex. im pretty happy. my photos dont do her justice but she looks amazing. i cant wait to see her buds
