Party Cup, Flood table ???????

So I recently added another flood table to my setup, I've been using 6in square pots, have had great success, with them growing 2-3 ft tall plants, No root bound issues at all

So recently I've been into S.O.G grows (Looking at pictures of S.O.G set-ups like their porn!)

I was wondering could I use Party cups (generic solo cups) As my pots for an S.O.G, Meaning as soon as the clones root they go into party cups and thrown on the Flood table In my flowering tent, My reason being is that I
could fit 20 solo cups compared to 10 square pots, So two tables filled with 40 plants all together Is what I'm Aiming for.

so my question is with enough holes in the bottom of the solo cup Would I be able to Flower them without getting root bound ?

There is a guy doing flood and drain with party cups. I think its the guy with the oscar the grouch avatar. It seems to be working ok.

I was thinking about doing a hempy party cup sog but flood and drain sounds like it would be easier. You could just cut off the bottom of the cup and let the roots grow into the flood tray if you have it filled with hydroton or something to block the light, and just use the cups for support and to keep the plants off each other.

Ohh word, I usually skip over all the party cup grows cause I thought they where strictly soil or hempy, I forgot what site i was on but one dude was trying to compete and they told them "No, Flood tables are cheating", So I was like "Fuck those guys!":finger:

I was thinking if it had enough drainage in the solo cups that the roots would just burst out of them and grow on the table, I will be using panda film and fan leafs to block the light from the tray, I've stepped on hydroton one to many GOD DAMN FUCKING TIMES!! The solo cups are just one big ass scoop and their filled easily Filled.

I think the rules evolve with each new competition. this one seems to be OK as long as roots stay in the cup. There was probably a screen to let water flow and keep the roots in.

@Old-School is doing A flood table and @iliadtattoo is doing ebb and flow which i'm not sure, sounds similar to flood tables.

If you do it I want to see it!
You know what I think I'm just gonna go ahead an do it, Now i just got to veg out my clones, I have 6 clones of Royal Kush
about 1 week into veggin.

this my little setup, I'm not sure what style of hydro this is, because i searched for this shit everywhere and couldn't find anything, It's basically a DWC/Flood table hybrid, The cups are on egg crates with pvc zip tied so the cups aren't fully submerged with an air stone underneath It's basically, a ghetto version of this

This is my flowering tent, I'm thinking of growing out out my clones till I can get a good 4 clones from each plant, So i Might be at like 24 clones, Once I get 4 clones from one plant I'm going to move it to the table on the right Putting them In my 6inch pots So they can start flowering, By the time Those clones are rooted and hungry My table on the right should be ready for harvest,......I'm not to sure tho......Idk

Lookin good, I've been looking into trying this myself. I'm finishing a Scrog grow right now but I definitely want to do a homade set up.

yeah homemade is the way to go for the price you pay for one actual flood table you can build 2 an buy some nutes,

I just wish i had 40 clones right now!

I do use ebb&flow. Flood table and ebb&flow is the same thing.
I bought the large cement mixing tub at homedepot for my table and I use a 15 gallon plastic tote box (black with yellow lid) for my reservoir.
I built a frame for the table out of 2x2 pine lumber. I built a square frame to hold the tub and then screwed legs at the corners.
I am only running 16oz party cups right now but I have in the past run like 14 smaller square pots for an amazing veggy garden; lettuce, chives, basil, etc.

This technique is like growing plants on crack. Root bound WILL be an issue but so what? The plants get what they want and they grow like crazy.

Good luck, farmer. Enter the next party cup comp and show what you got!

yeah I mean I've done plants in 4 inch pots before and they only had drainage holes at the bottom like for soil and shit, but they where clones vegged for like 3 weeks and It wasn't an SOG so I just let it branch out, But I was thinking if I make enough drainage holes in the cups the roots can grow out into the tray blocked by panda film, But I'm just going to try it anyway I'll have another tray with some 6in pots as my just in case, If my first 20 grow smoothly, I'm going to just do the full 40, If i at least get 5-7 grams per plant I'd be in heaven, but it's personal stash so it really doesn't matter,

I'm just tired of buying bud between harvest, I mean i grow at least 1-2 oz dry bud but mostly popcorn and I smoke at least an oz every every month.

I'm not a competition grower YET, I'm still using the lucas formula, An i just started adding Floralicious plus to my res this grow
