If you don't want a bit of background, scroll down to the bars.

I think I've officially pidgeon-holed myself. For a long time I've been a pretty pure indica fan. The last strain I grew was Texada Timewarp, and before that it was Early Girl. Whenever I was looking to buy, I'd always ask for "the ganja that melts your body", knowing there aren't many people in my city who understand what indica is, and that's usually the best way to get it.
"Hit the body, but spare the mind."
Anyways, I've recently acquired a taste for sativas. I love that creative force flowing through me, while still being able to do everything as if I were sober (more or less).

Sorry if this is boring you. Let me just get to the question.
I'm looking for a particular strain. One that has these aspects:
-CEREBRAL (I'm talking 'look out cranium, here it comes') high.
-Resilient plant. I'm an outdoor grower. Indoor recommendations are welcome, too, but please make sure to state they are better suited for behind doors.
-Long lasting, if possible.
-Good taste. I'm not looking for blueberry, but it''s always really nice when you can taste something different.
-A strain that's good for a beginner or moderate.

Also, if you'd like to really help out, recommend what the best seed suppliers are for the strains you're telling me.

Thank you all for helping me out! This forum has always been extremely helpful.

By the way, so far I've been recommended:
Maui Waui.
White Russian. I'm very iffy on this one, as I've heard it's a tricky strain to grow.

You helped quite a bit. A couple more strain names isn't going to hurt the cause. :)

2 bowl's smoke for night 2 very relaxing... the seeds are cheap 2.. easy to grow..

they are advertised as indoor seeds but they do grow outdoors well in good climates..

i would not recomend WW as a sativa smoke iv grown it and i find it a night time buzz strong.. i prefer the jock horror anytime.. :peace:

Serious Seeds AK47. Growing two right now, suppose to be a hard hit to the head with some numbing of the body too. Never actually smoked any thugh so I couldn't tell you from first hand experience. Oh yea, and they're indoor/outdoor. So far they're pretty hardy plants, mine have lost bits of leaves (and even one of the main colas early in flowering, was fimed so there's a few though) and it's taking it like a champ.

perhaps not, but it's in it. the nl available today is NOT the nl that was. the one i grew in 99 was a sativa dom hybrid body with matched and warping stone+high. intense to the point of mild audio and visual hallucination, along with a pang of paranoi laced by a heavy leaden body creep. one hit for a seasoned smoker.....

they just don't make em' like they used to

I said I like to smoke it. I smoke northern lights mixtures that may have a dominant sativa as the others I mentioned.:peace:
Oh, that's fine. I just wanted to make sure that he didn't get NL and then end up wondering why he's stoned beyond belief ~ :blsmoke:

I would love to try it. Unfortunately, I usually end up smoking crappy schwag stuff that my friends get. I'm growing some bagseed and I'm going to pretend it's good stuff!

bag can surprise you; i ran a bag seed breeding program for several years (always a new generation the following season, no plants through winter) and came up with some very nice things :blsmoke:

and cheap seeds are available. you don't have to pay hundreds of dollars to have great genetics anymore ;)

Jock Horror is essentially just someone elses version of Jack Herer, right? Because that is Haze, Skunk, and NL also, I think Jock Horror is someone elses attempt to make it. it's supposedly alright, I've heard the original is better tho.

I think you need to grow a Sativa, to get that clear-headed yet almost psychedelic high. I would really reccomend any or Arjan's Haze's from Greenhouse seed Company. Many of them can be very tall though. you can check out their website greenhouseseeds.nl, and see how big all their strains get when grown under optimum conditions, so it can give you an idea of how long you might be able to veg. Most of his Hazes are really leggy and take up alot of room, but the "Arjan's Ultra Haze #1" is really really small for a haze. It is almost as small as some relatively small Indica varieties, but still gives lots of huge buds. The high is still all Sativa, and really is a long lasting, in-your-head psychedelic high.

I was surprized when I saw how short the plant was (in the video), because it is a true Haze type Sativa high, which I think is the type of high you are looking for. I think the breeding is pretty much pure sativa, they just used small phenotypes and inbred to get it so small for a Haze, they didn't breed a bunch of Indica into it to make it short. It is truly a surprising plant. The High is similar to Super Silver Haze, but the plant takes up less space. It's hard to grow Sativas outside because of the long flowering period, but this is short flowering for a sativa at 9 weeks, if you can handle a 9 week flower time, thats the best sativa you can get. Anything even more typically Haze will be 11-14 weeks flowering, which most outdoor guys don't have the season for. Anyway, hope I helped, :peace: out!

western winds if you something majorly sativa dominate, WW depending on who crossed this strain it can be 60 sativa, 40 indica vice versa. Skunk #1 is 75 sativa, 25 indica, its a very much established strain.

Hey-brother you could look into ISLAND SWEET SKUNK-Very tasty---85/15 sativa dom----"think tropical sweet in smell and carries into the flav as well"-----only neg is 77-85 finish time-------********must top after 4 node in veg and continue to top if clones are to be taken--skunk grow traits-wants to go straight up. ************
