Following the food in the shape of the flow of the water, root clones in an ez cloner and notice how the roots bust out in every direction off the stem or a certain direction of the stem because they will literally chase the water or food source, note that the ones directly under the sprayer nozzles are spitting roots in every direction where the ones in the corner of the cloner tend to have roots only spitting out towards the sprayer nozzles... pretty fascinating how they grow and how determined they are to reach a food source.
Yeah this was not that lmao

It grew into a solid shape like it was rootbound in a pot because the water in the tote made a slight vortex and spun them into a solid cylindrical shape. Not whatever you're going on about.

Im well aware of how roots grow in water.

Im sorry you took this offensively, im going on about them growing in that shape because thats what the water does in your tote, if you dont believe me, well then thats fine too lol, in any case im going on about roots will grow to the shape of their pot or the shape of the flow of the water... i.e your water was going around and around being circulated in a circle pattern hence the cylindrical taper of your roots. Pics of roots in a bucket is not some garentee of knowlegde or knowing how the roots grew that way, it just shows you let roots grow in water. If you are going to be dismisses and laugh at me like i have no idea what i am talking about maybe you should read and see that we are essentially saying the exact same thing, again lol... good luck with ur grow
