I see a lot of posts from people who are very paranoid. I wonder if it's a symptom of the thing we love, a lot of hogwash, or a valid concern by cautious individuals. In any case maybe people have tips they've picked up over their years of growing or smoking that they could pass on to newer members. I was just mentioning buying pH down or up from a pet store to someone who was afraid to buy it at a hydro store for fear of being monitored by the authorities. I have purchased seeds on line and had them shipped to my house, I have gone to hydro stores and purchased supplies on credit cards. and even ordered online with cards. Obviously I, 1) don't care or, 2) don't feel anything negative is gonna happen. Some people don't have my carefree attitude maybe we can help 'em out! Please post what you can.

same here... I am not worry for myself because it`s purely a hobby, I don`t do it for money... but I always wonder how some people post their 20000W grow without being worry!

lol same, it might be because of the state i'm in but i really don't care about being caught on camera buying shit or using a bank card to buy supplies/seeds online. it's just, meh

If your not a state legal grower, you would be wise to be a little less cavalier. I mean, what do you have to gain by being un-cautious? Nothing.

There is a difference between being carefree, careful or paranoid. The difference may end up being that one of those people have the cops at their front door. The cops could give a fuck if it's your hobby or not.

I think the paranoia comes from the social stigma associated with it because it is still illegal in most places and circumstances. The powers that be wants us to be afraid and paranoid because we are easier to control.

The intent of this thread was to provide alternative methods of getting resources or tips for the home/grow-op so as to avoid possible legal action. Not to spout off about being legal and starting the, "Holier than thou" thing. I am glad that everyone who has licenses to grow from their states has that, but what's that 13 states outta 50 right now? Please constructive feedback.

The DEA doesn't seem to give a shit if you're "legal" currently either as your state may say it's alright, but the federal government will still bend you over and rail you.

I've ordered supplies off the internet with a credit card and shipped them to my address. I've done the same at local grow supply shops.

I'm a little paranoid but I think that if someone is looking into my credit card history ... there must be a trail of evidence that got them there.

I think people assume there are government agents everywhere monitoring every thing they do at all times. If that were the case this site would exist only as a way to monitor and catalogue all the users for summary round up and jailing or fining. Let's face it the US government can barely support it's legislature and cops are constantly being laid off. It's one thing to make a law, but it's an entirely different thing to police it. To be honest I believe that the Med community demonizes the recreational users to their own benefit. If everyone can grow their own then where would they be? In their house growing their own, but not being able to profit. It always comes down to money. If I have a license to provide a good or service that no one else has I can make money. If everyone has the same right that all goes away.

Just be smart with what u do. I personaly am not to worried about buying supplys and stuffike that. Fuck for all anyone knows u could be tryin it out for ur carrot garden or something lol who knows. Its only n ur mind that u feel like ur doing something wrong so ppl freak out. I used to b the same way untill one day i just got over it. Just be cool, calm down and relax. If it was wrong to buy products for ur set up theyd b illegal. And like jesus of marijuana said stay small and stay legal. If u got a beast of a grow goin, good on u lol and i wish i could do the same but keep ur shit on the down low. Ppl get caught cuz they open there mouths to the wrong ppl. Thats what i got to offer

I think the fact that they're growing weed illegally entitles them to a bit of paranoia. Most peeps out there don't if have the stones to smoke a joint let alone grow their own harvest. At the end of the day it may be a persons paranoia that means the difference between sucking on a phat joint or going to jail and sucking on a phat ........

I am most paranoid when I go out in the street to meet some dude I don`t know to buy freakin weed... never know when you are gonna get busted!!! I mean, if it were LEGAL to grow enough for yourself, ... like 10 plants or whatever law they wanna make, it would actually hurt organized crimes... there would be less people buying commercial shit grown by the Hells Angels or whatever... that`s the way I see it.

everyone gets down on organised crime, it seems to me disorganised crime causes far more harm.

not that I am against it :lol: ... but you would think that the police would prefer less organised crime... therefore growing marijuana for private consumption should be legal :leaf:

well, I am actually paranoid. There have been a few instances where I have mindfucked myself into thinking they were coming, when it was just something arbitrary. Today I took a picture with some girls on campus and showed the pic to a friends dad. His drunk ass took it upon himself to show the rest of the fucking tent, including the retired police officer. The phone skips to nug pics in front of everyone with this drunk motherfucker showing the world. I don't know if they knew exactly what they were looking at but I didn't want to stick around to find out. I know the cop saw them but, being that he is retired I do feel a little better. I hate people who don't completely advocate privacy. 3 more weeks and I'm chopping and laying low for a while...I think my next grow (assuming I have one) will start closer to christmas.

don't tell, don't smell, don't sell. Follow those 3 and you have almost zero chance of a bust. I am a small time grower (meds for myself) in Cali and have told several people of that, guess if the police come looking I have my self to blame. I am in a med state going by the law, so it is easy for me to be open about all of it.

If you are not legal in your state, follow the above rules religiously.

I have to say, you'd think more people would be busted purchasing seeds. But in all honesty, I have read about more busts from people purchasing hydro equipment online than any other weed related online purchases. I'm not saying this is fact, but just what I've gathered from reading the news on yahoo and such. I think Drudge reported a big hydro bust not too long ago. AGAIN, this I am not stating fact, just what I've read more often about.
