Paradise Pandora Outdoor

I have 5 Pandora from Paradise Seeds that I thought I would share with you guys. I was introduced to this strain last year shortly after is was released. At the time, Attitude was giving away free 3-packs of Pandora with the purchase of any other pack of Paradise Seeds. Ended up buying their AutoMaria II, which was also new at the time, and Pandora and AutoMaria II were my auto grow for last summer. While I was a little unimpressed with AutoMaria II, Pandora was a different story. I liked it so much, I am growing it again this year.

I basically have 2 sets of plants going. The first 3 are 8 weeks old and have been outside for 5 weeks. The second set is 5 weeks old and has only been outside for 2. The younger ones have just recently started flowering. Pandora is a little different than other autos I've grown. She usually stays in veg for around 4 weeks before she shows sex and starts flowering. That's a good thing for me since it allows them to get a little bigger and produce more in the end.

First couple pics are of one that has whorled phyllotaxy, meaning there are 3 sets of leaves per node rather than 2. When it first germinated I was pretty excited since it's the first time I've had one like that.

Any questions/comments/complaints are more than welcomed.

i did pandora last year and i was blown away with that strain. very clear high that leaves no worries. very easy to grow and it fills in very nicely. yours is looking very nice sonar. +rep

Cool thanks for stopping in guys! I'll be updating it a few more times before chopping.

I am also growing Wappa for the first time. That's still in early early veg though. Wanted to do Sensi Star but it was out of stock everywhere.

I just ordered Auto Wappa...anything I should know...starting indoors, then movin out...just like you...any tips for me?? Mediums, etc?

What size pots are they in?

They are all in 3 gallon containers except the plant in the last pic is in a 2 gallon. Somehow I miscounted and realized at the last minute and all I had was a 2 gallon for the last plant.

The smallest plant is the one with 3 leaves per node and I'd say that is around 18" tall. The other 2 that are flowering are about 2'. Not sure what the deal is with the plant in the 2nd to last pic, but it is only 5 weeks old and already taller than the older plants. It really stretched like crazy in the past 2 weeks. Paradise says this strain is 90% indica with 10% sativa, but I can really see some sativa influence in a few of the plants. I was actually going to shoot them an email but hopefully they stop back in and tell us some more about this strain! Kind of curious what they used when they crossed Pandora.

As for Auto Wappa, I believe that is a brand new strain. I start all my plants, not just autos, in 1 quart grow bags full of pro-mix. After about 3 weeks, they get transferred to their final homes in 3 gallon buckets with pro-mix. I really like soiless mixes like pro-mix or sunshine mix. Especially in an outdoor situation where you are going through massive quantities of soil. On top of my autos, I have 10 other full sized plants to contend with this year, so it can get expensive. This year I've been throwing a handful of Fox Farms American Pride in the holes to help supplement hand feedings, which will hopefully be few and far between.

After using sunshine for several grows, and recieving a completely screwed up bag................................. I wouldnt piss on the stuff.

I will say the company did replace the cost's related to the soil, but I was still out the grow time. Coupled with the loss of 6 plants. an expensive lesson learned.
Btw nice looking plants. I will be following this and am going to grow a few pandora's as well.

I just harvested my pandora alil over a month ago. She yielded 68g dry. The smoke was top notch and could not have been happier. I grew it in a ebb and flow setup and she was by far the best looking plant i have ever grown. Im just started my second grow and decided to give vertigo a try by paradise. Have heard nothing but good stuff on that strain as well. Nice plants by the way sonar. You will be happy with the smoke.

Nice man! the first pic looks like it had some nice resin on it. I got a pack of auto wappa to try next year, popped 1 to see how it does this year though : )

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I wanted to know how the Pandoras turned out. I was thinking about getting a few to grow outside in the warmest months I get, but I'm still not sure yet; theres not a lot of grow reports on the strain, but the few I can find are all positive. Any strain-specific issues like nute or temp sensitivity, gross smell, or really weak stems? How was the high and yield? If it's as good a yielder as you make it sound, I might even pick up some extra 5gal or 7gal buckets for them instead of 3gal; I'd hate to half-ass something with real potential. Thanks in advance!

They turned out quite well for autos. Very consistent. In 2 years I think I grew a total of 8 plants of this strain and they were all very similar. Grew very tall and fast and filled out nicely. I'd say go for it with the 5 gallon buckets, but think 7 gallon might be a bit overkill. No idea how this strain performs indoors, you will definitely want to give it at least 10-11 weeks from seed outdoors.

Feed them lightly during the 3 week veg period and once they start flowering I believe I used 1/2-3/4 flowering nutes. People tend to say autos are light feeders, but this strain can handle some nutes once they start floweing. Like any other plant, start out light with the nutes slowly woring your way up. You do need to be carefull not to burn autos due to the short life span. Smell and taste are both mild a fruity. High is good. You woudn't know it came from an autoflower if someone didn't tell you. Pull about 1.5oz per plant in the 3 gallon buckets. Both times I was satisfied. They were not my main grow. More or less just an early bumper crop in late June / early July for some fresh bud while my normal, photoperiod plants were still a month from even thinking about flowering.

Overall I think Pandora is a solid auto. Paradise did a excellent job with this strain.

Thanks for the detail, it looks like I'll be picking some of these seeds up. It seems the weather in my neck of the woods isn't going to let me do them outside this year (many consecutive days of rain, surprisingly low temps at night, and with the flip coming on so soon...), so I'll just have to run them indoors and see what they can do with long days under bright lights. Should I let them amber up real deep, or is it a more cerebral high that would benefit from pulling earlier?

Outdoors in Medditeranian climate- when is it best to plant outdoors? After 1st April, weather becomes hotter?
