Paper Towel then Rockwool Germination; Destination Coco

Hey there! I'm excited to have begun germinating the seeds which will hopefully become a successful first grow, but I am left with some specific questions now that I've done most of my research, my setup is complete and my seeds are nice and wet.

I have placed my seeds between moist paper towels beneath a coffee mug and things are off to a good start. It's been about 36 hours and 2 of the 3 seeds have opened and begun to sprout (hooray! - still hoping for the 3rd).

My plan is to plant the sprouted seeds into some nice moist rockwool cubes. Once the sprouts become more prominent, I plan on placing these rockwool cubes straight into some small pots of coco which I will eventually begin to water with a nice nutrient mixture.

My questions are (and thank you):

- Must I take any special considerations into the treatment of the rockwool cubes or coco (soaking or anything?) prior to exposing my seedlings/plants to them?
- I read the glue in them results in an alkali environment which is not suitable for growth prior to soaking for 24 hours or so...idk - any refutation/verification?

- How long will the sprouts be able to grow on water alone before the addition of nutrients is required for their survival?

- thanks again. Any details, instructions or advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks. Good deal. I have a few small 80mm computer fans (12v) rewired to a few universal adapters with adjustable voltage which I plan to mount in the 2x2x5 (wxLxH) enclosure that I have built. Are we talking like circulation or a breeze?

yea, i was loving that when i first taped it up and turned it on. They also have different attachments so you have extra wires to be stripping in case you want to use 1 adapter for multiple fans.
