Got any paintball fans or players?
Im going to be buying a gun and the rest of the stuff soon, this isnt a discussion about what gun i should get because i got a budget and i know what to look for, but anyways. Any paint ballers here? Speed Ball? WoodsBall? Mil Sim?
Im going to get into Speedball and was looking for some tips from good players.
Strategies? Techniques you use to be faster(in all aspects of it)? anything else you want to give advice on?

If you got a setup post a picture?

A few years back I bought a Spider Electra DX, and then spent a shitload of money converting it to low pressure. What a dumbass I was.

I play pump.. I have a CCI Phantom, its really the best marker for your money, there are few guns that have ratings like it. Check out at PBreview.com or whatever it is. Anyone play in New Mexico?

woods ball RULES! I been playing for 25+ years. I cant stand speed ball or the lousy paintball fields with there high prices and stupid ass reffs constantly giving away your position to paint check your possable hit. I get some buddys together, plan a 2 or 3 day camping trip and go play real paintball, in the woods or desert like a real wargame. nothing compares to crouching through the woods, hiding behind a tree or bush waiting to see your enemy trying to sneak up on you. you wait, wait, wait, slowly raise your marker and aim for his head "wonder why your still waiting" adrenaline pumping through your veins, mask fogging up, looking to see if he has backup. he gets about 30 feet away and then turns toward you, creeping slowly still not seeing you and then the best part, he looks directly at you, your barrel pointed at his face. he's 20 feet from you and his eyes suddenly get really big, seems like slow motion. you see his marker start to come up from the way it was being carried, barrel down. then you cut loose!!! BOP,BOP,BOP three shots connect. you get the KILL!!! now your position is given up, time to move for the next kill. DAMN I LOVE IT!!! geez im psyched up now. need to play.

Haha yeah ive done some "desert" ball Was fun. I agree the refs giving away your position is stupid as hell but you just gotta get moving after that. But i do wanna get into tourney ball maybe after a year or two of playing but for now ill just practice my ass off and work on shit i need to get down. I can shoot with both hands but i still need to train my left to last longer lol.

And are all places really like 50 bucks...... just to fuckin play... i get it we need your own certain paint but shit. Id come back more often if it was a logical spendable amount. shit might aswell invest in my own personal field ^_^ lol i wish. those damn inflatable bunkers are hella expensive..

^this 100%

I love that full on guerilla warfare style play. Thats pretty much all we played back when i lived in Palmetto FL seeing as how i had 15 acres in my backyard haha. Id love to get into it again, and ive tried, But i cant get anybody to get into it unless "i buy all like 8 people guns,balls,c02,safety equipment blah blah."

Bunch of cheap fucks my friends are. There all down to do it, so long as it doesnt cost them a penny. I cant believe a broke college kid can call other people cheap. You know there bad then lol -_-

Woods ball was all I ever played. Fuck speedball, and fuck jerseys and pants designed to hide hits.

some friends and I would get together and play diferent scenarios, one i liked best is where we would have around 10 players total, 5 on 5. one team would go out and have half an hour to build or construct a base using the things we could find on the field, wood, pallets, tires, tree branches ect... the other team would time us then sound the horn when 30 mins was up. we would have to defend the base till the death. it was tough trying to defend against the other team moving all around you, really tough if you didnt cover your back but lots of fun. im 40 now and still get out and play once in a while but i also have knee problems so that keeps my out more often. i love it when some kids come out with there $400 to $500 dollar setups and us old guys smoke them without shooting more than 10 shots, awesome! i love it when i sneak up on somone and make them surrender without firing a shot. herbs, most places here charge around 20 for the day of play but you have to buy there field paint and at 40 to 50 bucks a case for decent paint it gets pricy. then you have down time and there field rulz, kinda sux. i like to play when and where i want. and when i want to drink a cold beer before play, whell you get the idea.

I used to play a lot. We used to do all kinds of scenarios, similar to what smokebomb was saying. We lived on a few acres with these two old barns about 30 ft apart with windows (glass long ago broken out) facing each other. It was perfect - each team got a barn, and we had a bunch of plywood/pallet shelters in the fields around the barns, there was a dense forest area on one side of the barns. Man, I miss that place.

We used to use a point system to let our games go a bit longer: headshot = 3 points, torso = 2 points, limbs = 1 point... 5 points is death.

At one point a friend and I made these little paintball shotguns that we mounted on top of our guns. They were only good for fairly close range, but if you happen to get a good shot in with them, they blasted the hell out of the person. They'd shoot a dozen or so balls at a time.
