Packing them in

My plants are growing at a maddeningly slow pace despite packing my little grow-box with lights up the ass.

I've got 4 65W CFL and two Cree 60W LED in reflectors. The LED were added today.

I've attached a shot of the grow-box and an extreme closeup of the top of "Shortie," my best plant.

Thanks.
You should transplant them into 50/50 vermiculite / perlite 1 gallon containers, hang your led in the taller space, give them proper ventilation, nutes, temp, humidity and then they will start to grow correctly. At 42 days they should be 3 feet tall. forget all the side lighting.

It may be too late. They may be permanently stunted.

I've done most things right. They simply refuse to grow.

Telling you its the baby lights your running no offense but i used those when i was 16 and realized they wernt cutting it i saved up $100 bought a hydofarm 4 ft 4 bulb t5 lamp and have been using it ever since, i just put new bulbs in it once a year and i got smooth steady growth. one time i left clones in dixie cups for a few weeks i got bizzy didnt have time to transplant lol they were so root bound it wasnt funny but they continued to grow up to a ft and a half in the short time its the lights forsure no doubt in my mind bongsmilie

I had the same problem last grow. They started out well, but stalled for a while.

I dont know, but i suspect it was because of transplanting into a container that was too big. Did some reading and what i found was that when you do that the roots do most of the growing until they bottom out. Then they start to grow more topside. Not sure if i believe that. But...seems like you got your plants in oretty big pots for their size.

The other thing is humidity. Suffer pretty low humidity up here and when plants are young they need that...they tend to grow slow without it...

Good advice. I appreciate all the help I can get.

At 42 days and that small I would chuck them and start over. Cannabis loves T8 flouros if you ask me. I quit using my 400 MH in the veg room and switched to 4 ft shop lights and the girls love them. Those 4 ft shop lights can support plants up to 30" tall. Cannabis hates a cold cellar too unless it's DWC.
