So a month ago today UPS intercepted a package that a friend of mine was sending to his brother. My friend not being very smart, thought it would be okay to put his real name with real adress on the package. Once we realized the package had been seized we called UPS from a blocked number and they told us it had been picked up from narcotics and we needed to call a number that they gave us. Well of coarse we didn't call the number, but so far nothing has happened. He has been keeping pretty low key and hasn't had any suspicious things going on at his house. He never sold, or grew either. My concern is that there are text to me phone his phone about getting the stuff from my roommate. What are the chances of the police actually coming after him/me?

Did you use overnight?
Was it in a awkward sized package?
Did the person who dropped it off at ups look like a stoner or smell like marijuana?
Did u vacuum seal it?
Did u wear gloves and bleache all surfaces before sending it?
If no to any of these than u should have been on top or ur shit

Go dark immediately, cease any and all illegal activity and destroy any and all evidence, if I were you my phone would be at the bottom of a storm drain in pieces and I wouldn't speak with anyone in person about what happened. If you do talk search them for a wire and do it at a location of your choosing (do not allow time for anyone to set up on you)
It doesnt sound like you are too directly involved, if you are arrested your phone was stolen you know nothing. Aside from denying involvement or knowledge say NOTHING. Rule 1 keep your fucking mouth shut, if your jailed post bail and at anytime if you feel your not going to walk out of there lawyer up immediately, they will lie to you about your rights, they are legally allowed to lie to you and say anything to make you talk

what perfex said also id suggest using a cheap disposable phone when using it to do anything illegal.
Start cleaning your friends house but dont make it obvious, i.e. you take out 6 bags of trash in 1 day. Try not to throw anything illegal in the trash bins as they tend to go through those sometimes, best of luck

Dont panick. You'll be fine. I've had more serious close calls than this with no follow up. Cops like to build cases like puzzles. You just gave them a piece. It may be the first pirce or the 20th piece. Either way, in and of itself, this is no big deal. Here's the important part: There's a small chance that package will show up. Yes sir. I've seen it happen first hand. If it does....either at original address or return address...do not touch it! Do not sign for it!
Your friends name is now on file with the Narcos. That's about it. There are ALOT of names in that file. He shouldn't sweat it too much. However, this whole operation is blown...over...DONE. Every piece of the operation needs to be discarded. I would toss phone, get new phone with new number, and tell your friends some drug dealer hacked your phone so you gity a new one.

I spent damn near 5 years in the Fed Pen talking with other dealers/growers/makers/importers/mailers who got busted. 98% of them were TOLD ON. The other 2% were just bad luck. Don't lose any sleep over this. It takes them years to put together the size case they need to justify their salaries. Once the phone is gone there's nothing connecting you to the sack.

They would have to prove your friend was expecting/paid for the sack. I can pick address at random and send them bombs , guns, dead hookers. cops can't just grab them and bust the wouldbe recipient without proving further involvement. Should be a great reason for a warrant though. For example one for phone records connecting to you.
